Generally, all country bakeries are quite similar in what they do, offer, sell etc and this clearly needs to be based on demand so they are limited in their offerings compared to their busier city cousins. Meadows is a typical bakery but with a half extra star for service and their welcome. It sits on the main road just east of the road to Echunga covered in some vines. There’s plenty of room to sit outside and inside isn’t cramped either. The girls are all friendly and the service is quick and attentive. They sell all the standard bakery fare and regular drinks/coffees. My coffee and snack were pretty good and my colleagues weren’t disappointed either. They did have a few items on sale but I neglected to have a closer look — I usually do look. I was there on my bike and thus limited in what I can pack and carry. Unlike some bakeries they don’t dislike cyclists and the extra business — their floors were sturdy enough to take on our plastic shoe cleats.

Wasn’t here long, but the girl behind the counter was friendly and the food good. They had a little fridge dedicated to redbull, which suited my needs perfectly. Worth a stop in if you need a refresh.
