Delicious freshly baked cakes and tarts! I have ordered a red velvet birthday cake and it was great! Would recommend this place! Definitely a place to try if you haven’t already!

Looking for the perfect cake shop? You’ve found it! Bought a box of cupcakes for my mother’s birthday. She loved the lemon coconut and red velvet. Their individual chocolate and raspberry cake is a must try! Will definitely be coming back!

The red velvet cake was out of this world, huge servings and way too many amazing sweets to choose from. Will definitely be back again– such a neighborhood gem

My north east side friend took me here the other day raving about the baked goods(deserts) and I had to keep reminding him that I ain’t really into that but we where around the corner and he had talked up their coffee up as well so I went for it. Small little shop but the staff that dealt with me were very friendly I ended up walking out with a excellent chicken toasted sandwich and good double espresso but I gotta say the best thing was the chocolate custard and cream éclair — it was maybe the best choux pastry I’ve ever had. There wasn’t as much savoury options as I would normally like but that’s not what this shop is about I think I counted 12 different types of cupcakes 15 odd types of cakes, macaroons and various other treats I couldn’t even name. Pumping trade heaps of customers good service and great food if I am in the mood for something sweet this place is on the top of my list.

Bustling on a Monday morning in an otherwise quiet Maylands, Sherbert delivers fine coffee and a vast selection of freshly baked goods. You can’t go wrong here!

Love, love, love this place! Service is always prompt and friendly, coffees are delicious and the cakes are our of this world good… There is always a huge selections of cakes and tarts to choose from as well as their range of cupcakes. The brownies, salted caramel tarts, carrot cake and red velvet are amongst my favourites. They also do a small selection of savoury items. Well worth a visit — sit outside and watch the world go by while indulging your sweet tooth!

I love sherbet, It’s such a lovely little café! They have great coffee plus amazing freshly baked goods from pastrami bagels, ham/cheese croissants, vanilla slices, eclairs, tarts and amazing looking cakes. Not a lot of space to dine in on a busy weekend morning but if you want something to go it’s ideal.

Sherbet serves yummy, home style cakes in a cosy, front-parlor atmosphere. Bought 2 slices of takeaway cake this weekend: blackberry coconut lemon syrup cake and carrot cake. Both slices were huge, delicious and excellent value at $ 7 each. Have previously had afternoon tea in house with Italian apple cake, which still brings back happy tummy memories. Recommended.

This café has some of the best cakes in town — famous for its Red Velvet Cake ! However the coffee is rather unremarkable — texturing is good but the shots don’t really have any pleasant flavour or intensity. The baguettes & bagels are very expensive for what they are & what’s inside($ 13.50). Nice fit out with NYC photos & situated in a cool part of town.

This review is long overdue. I’ve seen mixed reviews for Sherbets, but i’ve personally had good experiences, with their sweets, as well as customer service. If you’re looking for yummy cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and wonderful drinks, especially iced coffee, than you must make the journey to Sherbets. Everything is hand-made, using fresh, quality ingredients to bake some really tasty goods. Their sweets are not mass produced, so the quality and taste are consistently spot on. I’ve honestly tried just about every cake and cupcake that Sherbets make. I literally just stare at the cakes and drool, upon setting eyes on them. It’s hard to decide on one piece of cake, so make sure to try a few, and don’t forget to take some home. Then return the next day, and polish off as many cupcakes as possible. Then go to the gym on the third day. The customer service is always attentive and friendly, and certainly polite. It’s obvious they enjoy what they’re doing, since they’re always smiling. My favourite cake is the chocolate almond & praline cake. No, maybe it’s the red velvet cake. No, it’s actually the Sicilian apple cake. Hell, just try them all. As far as cupcakes, their banana caramel and the vanilla espresso, are definitely my favourites. Their chocolate and vanilla cupcakes are also friggin amazing. Anything with fruit on it, or in it, is absolutely delicious. The fruits they use are soo fresh, you can taste the quality in each bite. If there’s one complaint I have, it’s that their hot chocolate is too watered down. Please correct the water to cocoa ratio Sherbet. Thank you!

I’m just going to start this review by saying CUPCAKES. Seriously they are that good & there are so many delicious flavours! Banana & caramel, peanut butter & jelly, red velvet… the list goes on. And you can’t go past their chocolate banana bread. Heaven in a mouthful. The savory options are also good, a personal favourite being the vegetable tart. Perfect for brunch! And even better if you follow it up with a cupcake. Or two.

I have sought out Sherbet for a sugar fix three times in the past months and have been let down each time. Cakes look special but taste meh. This is a prime example of The Cheerleader Effect in action. Pleasantly bamboozled by an array of towering iced cakes, my hopes are set high. In isolation however, the goods are less than spectacular. The zest of the Orange Cake is overpowered by the sour passionfruit icing. Cupcakes are dwarfed by their OTT icing. Raspberry Vanilla Layer Cake just tasted like cream and fluff. No raspberry tart twang to be enjoyed. Hmmph. The only baked good I can wave my pom-poms for is the Chocolate Banana Bread. Enthusiastic service and well prepared Fiori coffee, are Sherbet’s saving graces.

Amazing cupcakes, the best banana bread in Perth. Did I mention their coffee? awesome. I can’t speak high enough of this place and all their friendly staff. I come here at least once a week. If they had free internet I’d base my office in the window seat. Thanks.

Okay, so here’s my run down: I love the mixed match teacups and saucers, the cute vintage set up, very retro American and the thick, yummy slices and cakes on display. However,(and I apologise in advance to all those Sherbet lovers), but although the cupcakes look decadent and are impressive, I’m not a fan. For me, there is just too much icing which overpowers the moist, fresh cupcake. I found this quite disappointing as Sherbet prides itself on its cupcakes. But hey, this could just be me and my high expectations. For the mean time, I’ll just look but not touch/eat.

I love the look of this place. The interior decorator has some talent! When you walk into this little shop it’s a little girls dream! vintage design and beautiful looking cakes. The variety is much better than your ordinary sweet shop. This place is Perths version of the famous Hummingbird bakery in London. The only setback is that the cupcakes are a bit on the pricey side, but it seems that is the norm these days for speciality shops in the city.

Red Velvet and Passionfruit goodness! Stopped in for a well deserved bit of dessert here with some friends.(I got up before lunch for breakfast in the city, give me a break, geez!) The slice of red velvet cake was a sure winner as always as was a slice of another cake with a passionfruit glaze on top. Another friend had a macadamea laden slice which was also quiet heavenly. I have to say after being to a few other specialised dessert shops around perth I keep finding myself coming back here. I have even tried the chocolate laden muffins and cakes too. Everything seems to hit the spot. You can’t seem to go wrong here. Love this place!

Such beautiful cakes. They really are a vision — multi layers, slathered in decadent icing — a perfect treat! I can vouch for the deliciousness of the red velvet cupcakes. Served on the cutest printed plates, it’s quite a girly experience :) They know their baking! Yum!

‘Cute, cute, cute, yum, yum, yum‘ is what you will think when you walk into Sherbet. Shortly followed by ‘what the hell am I going to get, man I can‘t believe I can only pick one cake today!‘ The vanilla, raspberry layered cake was a real experience, a classic dense buttery cake with perfect icing. The whole darn thing was pretty perfect. I got so over excited at how good the cake tasted that I dropped the fork whilst eating the gigantic slice on the way back to my car, and continued to eat the cake whenever I was stopped at a traffic light on the way home.
