Fo Guang Shan Temple is a Buddhist Temple right in the heart of Maylands. The Temple is new and very large, at 4,400 sq feet. The Fo Guang Shan Temple has a shrine hall and a library with an impressive collection. If you’re interested in the Buddhist culture, I would recommend that you come down and speak to some of the workers and volunteers. They are happy to tell you about the Temple and can also give you a tour. If you’re inclined, they also offer classes and hold special events. Fo Guang Shan Temple is a beautiful place where you can come to reconnect with yourself. If you want to give back to the Temple, ask them about a volunteer program.
