Is it possible to give this place no stars? If so, please remove the one star that Ive given it! In fact Id like to give it minus stars if at all possible! I can never ever remember having to deal with a worse business of any kind — this place is even worse than the Cherry Bar(see my review to see what I think of it) and Id lean towards giving more stars to a restaurant which gave me food poisoning… So, what is wrong with this business? In a nutshell, nobody involved with the place seems to take any responsibility for anything there(with the possible exception of one acting manager). The background of this(ie why I was using them) is that my little boys put coins in the dvd slot of the tv and thus it wouldnt play dvds. When on the phone to discuss when they would pick up my tv, they said that the people would come out the next day between 10am and 5pm expecting me to wait around for 7 hours. They also didnt bother to tell me that I needed to take the tv off the wall for them. Then when they turned up late in the afternoon they refused to take the tv off the wall. My elderly mother was there as I had something else on that day — of course she couldnt do it. To take the tv off the wall was a 10 minute job which I did quite easily even without the best tools. The next day I called them and they once again said that they would be out between 10 and 5 and I told them that I have things to do and that they need to give me something specific and pointed out that it was their own fault for not telling me to take the tv off the wall that they would need to make another trip. They then said that mine would be the first job on Monday morning at 9.15am(it was a Friday when this conversation took place). Monday morning came along and they were not there at 9.15am. I called them again and they said they were sending someone out at 10.30am… When the bloke arrived(late) he said that they were not allowed to take the tv with the bracket on the back either!!! Needless to say, the lady on the phone hadnt bothered to tell me this either… So I took the bracket off myself there and then(took about 30 seconds) and the guy took the tv(but only after shaking it to see if he could get the coins out of the dvd slot which my kids had put in there — I didnt know that one could shake a flatscreen tv without wrecking it)… He also said that it would probably be covered under warranty — which I never for one second believed… I got a call later that day saying that the tv was ready and it could be delivered in the next few days(despite the fact that I live 5 min drive away). They then said that I would need to pay for it($ 143) in advance. They refused to allow me to pay on delivery. To save having to put up with them and wait around for them any longer, I decided to go in and pick it up… I arrived at around 3.30pm and(deciding not to say who I really was) asked to speak to the manager. Of course he had«gone out for lunch»… I then told them who I really was and had to wait quite a while for the technician to come and get me and show me the tv. Finally after having to wait far too long he showed me through to the workshop. On chatting to him I found out that he was the acting manager and I relayed my numerous complaints to him — and to his credit he was very apologetic. While I payed for the work, he got someone to clean(wipe down) the tv and I couldnt help but notice(and actually pointed out) that she was cleaning it while it was standing up with about 2 thirds of it off the actual table! I wish I had just let her drop the thing and smash it — that way they may have just bought me a new tv… although I assume something wouldve gone wrong there too… Well I took the tv home and decided to test it out — I watched an hour long dvd and towards the end, there appeared to be problems with the screen with bright colours popping up and the dvd stopping at one point… Was it the specific dvd or was it the tv itself??? Was it shodding workmanship? Who knows — stay tune for the next episode of «Impulse Audio Visual — wrecking havoc accross Melbourne’s inner north west»
