While the atmosphere is beautiful, the service is atrocious. The waitress brought out our starters with our mains and then was incredibly rude when we asked her to keep our mains warm while we finish our starters. The staff were incredibly argumentative. They then proceeded to bring out rotten oysters that smelt terrible and will likely give us food poisoning. I would most definitely NOT recommend this place.

Poor food! As the menu said the ribs’ bone will fell off itself! I can’t even cut the meat off with a steak knife! N as all the other food quality i think it’s over price becoz of the view

Nice spot for fish and chips and to watch the ocean and people go by. Had the Pure Blonde which went nicely with the fish and chips.

My wife and I went on a Thursday night. The place was buzzing but not full. Sat near the front and watched passing parade. We were not that hungry so decide to have all entrees. We ordered an Italian Pinot Grigio and settled in chatting and taking in the atmosphere. We shared the scallops which were great, calamari was great but the duck pancakes were an issue. The flavor was there but it was over cooked and very dry. We complained and asked if the duck could be replaced. Surprisingly the waiter said it is pre cooked and therefore it will come out the same. We were disappointed so my wife ordered another plate of scallops, I foolishly persevered with the duck. Despite the duck mishap I would return. The wait staff were attentive and friendly, service was good.

Ate here with some mates from work and really enjoyed my seafood pasta. Great ambiance and really good service. It was right across from Manly beach but I arrived on Manly after dark so can’t comment on the view across the street. Seemed like it would be a cool place to eat in the daytime out on the street. The food portions were small like the other reviewer said but interestingly all of servings in Oz seemed small but my mates in Oz say that when they come to NA they are surprised by the serving size being so large and based on the way my ass fits in the economy seats maybe they have something right down under!!! So good food, really good breads, and bright modern décor make this, right off the beach restaurant, really pretty fun.

Best restaurant in Manly in terms of décor and ambience. It is one of the only ones I’d be able to comfortably label fine dining/posh. The pasta, handmade in the restaurant, is great. However the portions here, particularly for certain dishes, are small e.g. barramundi, steak. In my opinion a cheese platter should consist of more than one cheese, hence the term ‘platter.’ The long names of the cheeses insinuate there are multiple(unless you are a cheese buff and know the types). In reality it is one small bit on a wooden board with a few lavosh crackers and a grape or two. I took friends here and am used to the portions but was embarrassed when what they ordered seemed puny. Another thing I’ve noticed, I’d prefer the consistency of a dedicated waiter. You always seem to have a few people serve you and it is disjointed, particularly if you asked the previous waiter for something and they haven’t come back. Also the staff are typically breeze through backpackers with a limited knowledge of the menu. They are fun, jokey and nice to look at but sometimes a bit too casual… which isn’t in keeping with how this restaurant should be. They are clumsy too… the last few times I’ve been there multiple glass breakages have ensued. Out of the beachfront restaurants though(which overall are snobby and overrated)…Whitewater is king.
