My wife and I bought 24 hour hop on /​hop off Eco Hopper tickets, which as the name suggests are valid for 24 hours; and one has unlimited use of their ferries during that time. While that may sound good it is not very beneficial in practice. This is because, depending on the ferry, one can wait up to an hour for one to arrive. That reality, coupled with the fact we wanted to spend time in each place that we landed, meant that we were only able to visit two stops before our tickets expired. We actually gave up waiting for the first of our final two ferries back to Circular Quay from Rose Bay after waiting for the first ferry (from Rose Bay to Manly) for 45 minutes. Instead we took a much faster government ferry directly from Rose Bay to Circular Quay (a route not offered by (Eco Hopper /​Manly Fast Ferry) for $ 7. I suggest saving some money and using the government run ferries, which are far more frequent and much cheaper.

Convenient and fast. But not the scenic route.
In a rush, this is a great way to get from Many to the Sydney CBD. Otherwise, it’s second choice to the casual scenic regular ferry.

Taking a ferry ride across to Manly or one of the other beaches is a must do item when in Sydney. Whilst the city run ferries are great, the fast ferry is exactly that, it’s fast.
There is outside seating, free wifi, and a bbar to grab a beer, glass of wine or a soft drink. So sit back and and enjoy the ride and the views.

We took Eco Hopper from Circular Quay to Q Station. Even though one way adult ticket is $ 9, I believe that is the only ferry that goes from Circular Quay to Q Station.
The total journey took about 50ish minutes. Yes, it was VERY long but the scenery was pretty :)
The best thing about the Eco Hopper is that you can purchase the tickets onboard. So no worries if you are running late, just dash to Wharf 6, get on board and sort out the tickets later !
The crew was friendly, and the Eco Hopper was virtually empty (yay!)
Highly recommended !

We took the fast ferry home from Manly. Perfect after dark. I loved the slow ferry to get over during the day and take in all the sights, but the fast ferry is perfect if you stay ever so slightly past dark, curfew, or whatever. And you can buy a cocktail aboard.

This was fun, our family loves boat rides! Take the Ferry and enjoy Manly Beach! The views are spectacular, sailboats, opera house, and so much more!
The captain is fun and has great commentary during the ride! It is clean, and safe enough for our family!

I love the Manly Fast Ferry! Both fast ferry companies are great — what’s better than cruising from Manly to CQ in 17 minutes? But MFF takes top prize in my book:
— You can charge beers to your ferry card — HUGE BONUS (hint, hint SFF)
— They occasionally fire up the top-​deck barbie for Friday sausage sizzle
— The captain comes on over the PA and gives you a funny welcome aboard commentary
— Whilst 1000% safe and professional, there’s a more local, less corporate feel to the MFF operation.
All three ferry operations offer a great experience and the absolute best commute in the world!
