Nice, clean, convenient apartments in a central location. Front staff are always great, there’s nothing particularly notable here but no news is often good news! Oh they do have free WiFi (which is ONLY notable in Australia).
The café downstairs has closed since I was last here which is a shame, in fact there are an inordinate number of businesses for lease in poor olé Mackay.
Short walk to the «Blue Lagoon» for a dip and a lovely walk along the mangrove river, and you can charge back to your room from 4 or 5 local restaurants which is groovy.

Corporate apartments in the heart of downtown Mackay! It’s walking distance from all of the restaurants and bars, and is only a mile and a half from the ocean. The hotel has private gated parking that opens with your roomkey. The rooms are no frills, and have a desk and a table. There’s a decent sized kitchen area with a small fridge, hotplate, sink, toaster, and coffee pot. The bathroom was sparse, but the adjustable shower head, solid water pressure, and good temperature range are total pluses. The café in the front can charge to your room, which is great for breakfast. There’s also a neat outdoor pool and a rooftop garden. The front desk staff were personable and funny. If I’m ever back in the area, this would be a great place to go back to!
