Thai Phunk

This is a busy, modern Thai restaurant in my local shopping centre. Lacks «atmosphere» only because it is in a neighbourhood shopping centre! Outdoor seating overlooks BiLo carpark. However the restaurant is clean, modern and attractive in décor, with an open kitchen so you can see the food prep. Service is always friendly and pretty efficient. style of food is a combination of the classics like mussamun beef, red and green curries, and what I think of as modern thai– lighter stir fries and wok dishes without a lot of heavy sauces. I really like the food.
Lunchtime $ 10 special can’t be beat. My favourite thing is the gado gado (veggies in a peanut sauce) — now I’m hungry!
Family-​friendly, quite noisy so kids blend in and are made welcome. Sitting outside is easier on the eardrums. Highly recommened for no-​fuss dining with family and friends.
