I’ve been here several times. The food is very nice but over priced. Great kids play area. We turned up for a casual lunch and ¾ if the tables near the kids area outside were reserved with them all empty. Most of the TVs were off and the one that was on was on American basketball and no signs of the test match at the SCG. We spent several minutes moving our plastic chairs around before gathering enough not covered in bird crap. In all the only reason we come here is the kids play area and Im seriously thinking of skipping it in the future.

Avoid this place on Saturday breakfast. They know they have large number of customers every week yet they have skeleton staff. Staff are rude. Order was wrong. Prices are ridiculous. Service is slow. Food was cold. Coffee was terrible. Saw staff in the kitchen eating and cooking at the same time. Didn’t know that was allowed. Not coming back

Overpriced for both food and drinks. Quality was poor and service was slow. If not for the«pub» building out the front it is a generic beer barn that charges way too much.

Not being a fan of this place, not having been here since July 2012 and HATING this idea of kids in and around pubs(another issue for another day), I was surprised to see how much they’ve done with it and how well it «worked» I ordered a «Godfather Schnitzel». It was cooked well, the chicken was juicy and not dry, the toppings were properly cooked and the chips were crispy but not burnt. The salad was fresh enough and there was plenty of choice for condiments. The beer was cold, and plenty of choice from the mid strength and premium/boutique categories. If you’re after VB or New, you’re going to struggle. There is a «Dan Murphys» attached if afterwards you feel like continuing the party There is a play area for the smaller kids, as well as a rock climbing wall for the bigger kids. Inside, they have removed the dining are around the back of the inside bar(were the stage used to be) and given it over to a Kids Game Arcade area. There’s a good selection of food for the kids also

Dissatisfied at the fact we were told we could bring a few nibblies and then when we get there and have set up all our gear the supervisor said we could not bring in any food and refused to let us keep it around us. All of our guests were buying lunch and beverages there so I do not see what the big issue was we were asked to remove the nibblies from the premises. So this put a dampener on the lunch I will not be going back to the ettamogah because of the childish way the nibblies were handled when we were told we could bring them. There is was are air of arrogance about the staff in there handling of the issue claiming that there staff would not say this. Now onto the food we paid for. It was complete rubbish the risotto was gluggy and ineatable. The salads with the steaks were pre prepared and had dried out carrot and cucumber was looking like it was sitting there for a week. I will be planning all future parties at the mean fiddler out of spite for the arrogance of the staff over the nibblies.

This is a family style pub with bistro to order at, the food has an extensive menu, enough for the whole family not to be too fussy. There’s entertainment for kids, and for the parents to relax, most of their meals are very reasonable with generous servings and quick service from the bistro, and to the table. If you’re organising a party the bar works great with a a tab, and there’s function rooms good for groups and families, and the friendly staff are happy to help at counter and with larger orders. Although, with the family friendly aspect, there’s one problem — ambience — it doesn’t exist. The unfortunate thing is that the an undecorated barn would describe the interior. When there’s a big open space, you have the problem of echo’s, and during the day for lunch, this turns into a playpen full of screaming out of control children.

An exact copy down to the old truck on the roof of the original Ettamogah Pub which featured regularly in the pages of Australasian Post magazine about 30 years ago. The original pub is in Ettamogah outside of Albury, NSW. It’s a family-styled pub — if there is such a thing. They have entertainment and regular shows for the kids while mum and dad can watch from several areas: a lovely outdoor beer garden with plenty of chairs and tables. They have a petting zoo and go karts and other such things on Sundays. The rest of the week is kept for adult entertainment with Karaōke, and various bands. Quite nice, very pleasant, very rare that there’s trouble here. They have a tab, a bistro and a lounge bar. There are also a couple of function rooms, good for parties and weddings. It sits on about a acre of land and it has a large bottle shop and car park. Owned by Woolworths.
