My boyfriend is a member of this coveted golf course and kindly took me up for a round. The course is rated in the top 10 courses in Australia and the course is picture perfect. From the moment you drive into the gated Country Club you appreciate the work that has gone in to this immaculate golf course. I am told that the course was built on sand dunes back in the day and makes for a very hilly walk — that is not for the faint hearted or the unfit. The undulating fairways, length of the course, water hazards and sand traps make for some challenging golf and the unforgiving course can dish out its fair share of sticky situations. The club house is a great place to grab a bite to eat(the seafood platter is the bomb) and a well deserved beer at the end of the round. I am told the club is booked out for weddings a year in advance. To play the course you have to be invited by a member, they do host a range of events for the public throughout the year and it is well worth getting up there when these are on.
