Good coffee, nice food. Coveniently located in the cbd. The premises are nice as are the staff. Prices are a little high, but you pay that now days for good food and coffee.

After meaning to dine here for quite awhile, finally made it there, and I must say — was a bit underwhelmed :(. The food was reasonably good but not outstanding, and the coffee wasn’t really to my liking, although coffee is a very personal thing. On the plus side, it was nice and quiet, the competition across the road was packed! Atmosphere was very relaxed — comfortable. Service was friendly.

Cactus Espresso Bar has recently celebrated it’s 10th birthday at the«top of town» in Ipswich. It is one of the first cafes in town and is still going strong. I love the atmosphere in here, from the pleasant, friendly service to the great menu on offer. I have been in here for breakfast and lunch with out being disappointed with the meal received. The coffee is pretty good as well. I have stopped in here many times for a takeaway coffee. Not only does the café have a great retro feel to it, it boast some pretty impressive art as well. Cactus Espresso host some impressive art shows and parties throughout the year. A great local café and would highly recommend it to all.

I adore Cactus. From its quirky retro lamps, to the fact that it displays exhibitions of up and coming local artists on its walls. This place has a great vibe, good coffee and some seriously delicious food. I’ve been in for breakfast a few times and have never been disappointed. It doesn’t matter whether it’s something as simple as raisin toast or as tricky as Eggs Benedict, Cactus just have a knack for getting it right. The only reason I hold out on a fifth star is because last time I was there wi-fi wasn’t available. If you’re in that general vicinity and in need of a good feed and a good coffee, Cactus is always a safe option.
