I have seen the orange T2 bags since moving to Australia over a year ago but today was the first time in the store. I have been looking for some new caffeine free tea at the supermarket and decided to give T2 a try and so glad that I did. The sales staff are super helpful and being able to taste a few teas helped narrow down the vast selection. They had a lemongrass ginger tea with Turkish apple in an iced version. I love ice tea but not plain Liptons so this was heaven for me. The strawberries and cream was also very nice. Looking forward to brewing some tea at home. The ice tea will be amazing on the hot brisbane summer days.

Your cup runneth over here at this veritable cornucopia of all things tea. These guys are well known for their range of rooibos, tisanes(herbal teas), white teas, yellow teas, green teas, black teas and all manner of combinations of the above. With so many hundreds of options on offer the tyranny of choice can become a bit of an issue, but I’ve always found the process of discovering the ‘tea for me’ an enjoyable process. It also helps that you can try a small sample of the desired tea on request, and they sometimes have various varieties available for sampling. The store’s design and décor is another standout, with a bold black ceiling and red shelves contrasting well with the rustic and quirky wallpaper made from old Chinese newspapers. Blackboards describing the different types of tea adorn the walls. The tea sets and Moroccan glasses for sale also act as interesting feature pieces scattered around the store. For a black tea(good with milk) I find it hard to go past the customised Queenslander ‘Brisbane Breakfast’ which combines the flavours of Assam and Darjeeling with«a subtle and inscrutable tinge of exotic mango»(from the T2 website). Their ‘Peppermint’ is top notch too, and for something a bit different(but still minty) try the ‘Red Choc Mint’.
