A few times I’ve tried to order at 8.30 and get met with the same miserable response. Kitchens closed. Last time it was 8.29. Let’s grow up a little and realise kitchens stay open a little later in the real world. Thought Coles would also offer a bit more when OT comes to customer service. Locals pub atmosphere is fun if you like it but forget the meals

Stopped in here on the off chance of grabbing a meal before a show at the Entertainment Centre when the Lady Daly & the Gov were full. We’d eaten here before and enjoyed it but we weren’t expecting to actually get a seat given that it was a Friday night and there was a show on just down the road. The girl who seated us was very friendly and helpful and told us that she’d had a cancellation on a reserved table and we were seated immediately. The mains came out quickly and were hot and of good quality, although the pizza was a bit small. We enjoyed everything we had and we liked that we could have a tab and pay for everything at the end. We ordered desserts at 7.10pm and by 7.35pm they still hadn’t arrived so we had to find out what had happened, but they were brought straight out after we enquired and we had time to make the show. We will definitely return her, great value and the atmosphere and staff were lovely

$ 9.90 Lunch Time Specials. Mmmm. The Hope Inn has been upgraded within the last year, it’s no longer the dodgy pub on the corner of Port and South. but a cool little establishment. The food is good quality pub food, nothing to elaborate like you would see at some of the newly renovated hotels, but its good value and decent portion sizes. The renovations have given this old pub and new lease on life. The beer garden and restaurant are nicely done. If you are looking for somewhere cheap for lunch during the week then the Hope Inn is a good choice. :)

Surprisingly awesome, this hidden gem on the corner of Port Road and South Road may have to be my new favourite lunch time destination(near by work that is)! Previously a no go zone due to it’s daggy nature and seedy location, this place is now perfectly fine… perhaps even better! Featuring a beautiful interior, a funky little beer garden and a very tasty, and very very affordable menu, there isn’t too much to fault! I have tasted the roast of the day — lamb on this occasion and it was delicious! A huge serving, accompanied by a yummy Yorkshire pudding. Great for only $ 12.95 Their Pork Belly was also very delicious with a tasty salad! On a Thursday they have Snitty specials, with a Parmi starting at $ 12, you really can’t go too wrong! I also noticed that they have Trivia on Wednesday nights… so, I’m pretty much sold! I’ll be back without a doubt, much to my surprise!
