Found the service really good and very very quick for both drinks and food. The pricing was reasonable for this type of restaurant and the food was decent. Seafood Platter and Carbonara were both very nice and the only real criticism is I found the piece of fish with the Seafood Platter quite small.

I figure I should start reviewing places I didn’t just love so that it doesn’t start seeming like I just give every place 5 stars. ha so ok so it wasn’t horrible, but the service was really just not that great. I asked for water twice and she must have been busy because she still didn’t get it, so I asked the expo who was quick to get it so that was good. But then the food took for-e-ver, and then the waitress also forgot my bread that came along with my meal and normally that would have been fine and not a big deal but I ordered the mussels and pretty sure a plate of mussels equals like 1⁄3 cup of actual food.(There were 23 of them in fact, ha so whatever that accounts to be. Whatever it is it’s not much meat since each are about a quarter size.) Anyways, I was still hungry and then felt like a pig chowing down on the bread basket all to myself since that was brought out later. Ok now that I’m recounting this story I’m realizing I’m more just frustrated with myself over eating the entire bread basket all to myself more than with the actual waitress so I’m going to let that slide. The hostess was great though! Nice and friendly and got us a table even though we didn’t have a reservation. She also apologized when she really didn’t need to over the 15 minute wait we had.(Soo did not expect a table even that fast, so really she had no reason to apologize at all. I think she thought I was bugged but really I was just tired. ha) But then the food, it just wasn’t that great, I don’t know. The bread actually was really good, but the mussels were like I said, not much actual food and they were so annoying having to open each and every one with a fork(but mostly I ended up just using my hands because really right now, opening a mussel with a fork is actually about the most tedious process ever.) I sort of wish the chef would have just pre-shelled them or given me better utensils to use or something. Then the red chili sauce on the mussels wasn’t great either, too spicy but that could have been just a personal thing. The steamed vegetables were delicious though, perfect texture. Overall I’m giving it 2 stars, because the waitress wasn’t that friendly and didn’t seem to like us very much. ha and then because the food was not that great.

Visited this restaurant on a beautiful sunny Good Friday lunch time with family & friends. Was fairly quiet in the restaurant so didn’t think we would have much problems with the service. How wrong was I. Took service staff about 5 minutes to take our drinks & meal menu — all good. Then took about an hour to get our undercooked meals. I had the undercooked salt & pepper calamari which was meant to come with a rocket salad. It actually came on shredded iceberg lettuce. All the meals were extremely small with limited to no condiments or sides. To avoid frustration, do not go here.

Whooaaa this has sadly gone really down hill. I’ve been here a few times before and found it to always be nice, it also used to be in the Entertainment Book and you got one free meal with a main meal purchase. They’re no longer in the book. perhaps they should be. My boyfriend and I went here on Saturday night, the wait staff were all friendly and attentive(brought us water etc) The menu has changed and they now have a few different things on there, there is also a tapas option; Cold Tapas Plate with 3 x selections Hot Tapas Plate with 3 x selections We went for the hot and ordered potato and corn croquettes, arancini balls & chorizo. We also ordered a salad and some chips, we were so excited for our food! The croquettes were fine, nothing amazing. The arancini balls were really lack-lustre, no flavour, no oomph! Tasted like something you’d buy from Woolies and chuck in the oven. The Chorizo was also«blurgh», i suspect it wasn’t actually Chorizo… everything just lacked flavour! The plate also came with turkish bread and oil… no balsamic. um? The salad was beetroot, rocket, pumpkin and feta with pumpkin seeds(needed a microscope to see them) It was sooo flavourless, the beetroot needed to be candied or SOMETHING… ANYTHING to give this salad flavour. The chips were beer battered and delish My opinion? Don’t waste your time.

We have been there a few times and have always enjoyed this restaurant. On a Sunday they are open start to finish. We arrived 5pm on a Sunday and the place was quiet. However shortly after being seated a noisy family with screaming kids was seated near us. The staff very friendly and considerate and moved us to a more quiet table. Really appreciated. We ordered the Chilli Muscles, Kirkpatrick Oysters and the Seafood Platter enjoyed with a bottle of SSB. Very delicious!!! We really like the quiet atmosphere and friendly staff and I recommend if you like quiet dinning reserve a seat no later than 5pm.

Boulrvard is one of those restaurants that has it all going for them. A automatic ambience at weekends as a combination of location and the hussle and bussle of the harbour create a buzz in every nook and cranny. It is also one of those restaurants that due to its super location charges $ 18 for eggs benedict and $ 25 for a chicken salad. The food is ok, if not borderline average but it would seem that the awesome ambience created elsewhere in Hillarys didn’t drop down as far as the staff here(not all of them of course). A little inconsistent so if you want to chance your arm you might get a 5 star experience.

Located at Hillarys Boat Harbour, Boulevard is a fairly new restaurant on the scene. The spot where it’s located seems to see quite a turn-over in restaurants but I think this one is here to stay. WIth a huge variety of foods on offer, from pizzas and pastas to steaks and salads, this place has it all. It’s modern Australian meets Italian, with kid friendly meals on offer and a bunch of delicious desserts. I had the Alcoholic Affogatto which was the best I’ve ever had. A very warm ambience mixed with a constant flow of guests, Boulevard has a nice atmosphere with lots of friendly staff. A must for anyone hungry in Hillarys, although I would expect that a reservation would be a smart idea.
