It’s really nice to eat Indian that doesn’t panda to a local pallet.

As I’m always on the lookout for a great Curry, I checked out my new local Curry house last week. I’d always passed by and never really considered trying it out. I’m glad I took the chance. The place was crazy busy. Every table was full and the clientèle was diverse. The menu isn’t as standard as most curry places which is definitely a good thing. The goat curry with the goat on the bone was top notch and very authentic. The service was very friendly despite how busy they were. I left very full and very happy. I think Riverwalk Tandoori can expect to get plenty of my business for as long as I’m a local here.

With a menu encompassing the delights of Indian and Malaysian food, with some less found options like goat included, Riverwalk Tandoori is not just your average curry joint. I’ve never dined in but have enjoyed their fare takeaway a couple of times. Being a fan of spice I was full of anticipation when I picked up my Chicken Chennai curry and was jokingly warned by the waitress that it was particularly spicy. On eating I didn’t think this was really the case(it was bordering on piquant at best) but it was very tasty, with a rich sauce and generous hunks of well-cooked thigh chicken pieces. My housemate’s ‘Egg Plant Vindaloo’ was very tasty, with big hunks of juicy eggplant cooked in a spicy dark sauce. The ‘Saag Paneer’ was also quite tasty. The naan could have been a bit crispier but I suppose that’s one of the hazards of eating takeaway: by the time you get it home it’s not as fresh as it could be.
