It’s a pretty well stocked woolies for it’s size. The shop is optimised for self checkouts so it might take a while if you wait to be served. The bakery section normally has reduced prices for many items. Good for morning tea if you don’t mind it being a day old. They also do opal recharges here. Get a 5% off wish gift card using the entertainment book and splurge on opal recharges here. Don’t forget to scan the everyday rewards card for added Qantas frequent flyer points too. Tips from my poor uni student days.

This Woolies store is quite small in comparison to others in the city(it only has about half a dozen aisles) but has all of your essential items, plus a small coffee bar. It’s in a pretty convenient location, close to the Intercity platforms and long distance bus terminal at Central Station, so it’s a good place to head if you’re heading on a long train or bus trip and want some snacks. It’s also close to the UTS Haymarket campus and Sydney TAFE, as well as Paddys Markets. Being in Chinatown though I expected them to stock a large range of Asian products, but they don’t seem to stock any more than normal. Maybe it’s the fact that a largeish Tongli supermarket is located in the same building, in addition to the huge New Yen Yen supermarket about 50 metres away down Thomas Street, and the little Korean grocer about 50 metres up Quay Street, they’ve just decided not to bother competing. For your usual Woolworths groceries though, this store is very handy, in addition to being clean, modern and spacious. Prices seem about on par with other Woolies stores too.

Wow… Another supermarket in china town. It was really good set up. Starting from the entrance just right opposite UTS library on ultimo street, very clean. You walking pass 2 sliding doors and mini escalator will bring you down stairs(and vise versa). Small café on the right hand side after you on lower level, and coffee is supply by Vittoria, you know this brand supply a good quality coffee. They had deal for coffee and cakes. Sign on every isle will guide you find items that you need. The have their own bakery section, and hot food items, as you can choose and maybe try items on promotion,(this lady is offering me tasting of roast chicken while I’m writing on this review). Well, on top of that they also offer free wi fi. I know it sound a bit unusual but I think they want people to shop over here and who ever giving company feel very comfortable to be able to browse the net and write review on Unilocal. PS: did I mention they have $ 2 coffee promotion? And coffee that they serve is good!
