hahaha cute how they play on Cold Stone from the States. According to the other review here, it originated from America! The more you know… Anyway, I think the ice cream here is pretty good — although I’ve never had Cold Stone in the US(even though I live there lol) I think it’s pretty comparable to other ice cream places we have here. It’s actually not as sweet, but I prefer it that way. I got the stairway to heaven and it was pretty good :) Prices are steep and I would actually rather get grocery store ice cream but I mean… treat yourself! I like the cone sometimes too(not sure if it’s worth the extra $ 3 though… jk I forgot how much it was)

Some of you Australians may be unaware, but Cold Rock originated from the famous«Cold Stone» in America. Pick your ice cream and mash goodies into it. The result? A deliciously creamy glob of stuff. Unfortunately for Australia, Cold Rock is like the dull half-cousin of Cold Stone. It simply is not good enough. My recommendations for improvement: ~ On the menu, have a list of signature, suggested combinations. Obviously, still have the option of people making their own combos, but for the people who don’t really know where to start, pointing them in the right direction is a good idea. ~ Have the staff be more lively. Cold Stone in America is the epitome of a fun ice cream place. Sometimes the employees sing as they work like the little dwarfs from Snow White. It may sound silly, but it’s loads of fun. Cold Rock Hawthorn just doesn’t leave room for excitement. Instead, I’m greeted by a bored looking hipster, a completely quiet atmosphere, and I’m forced to eat my ice cream bored. On the plus side, Cold Rock does have some great ice cream flavours. I tried the Cinnamon and was blown away!
