A new addition to the Portside Wharf complex, Treecycle is a small little nook with some delicious food and drinks on offer. Everything from brunch staples like avo on toast, to watermelon salads, this is the place if you want something fresh and yum. On my visit I ate rice paper rolls which had a crunchy filling of lettuce, cucumer and the main attraction of Mooloolaba prawns. These were huge and really refreshing(just a bit too much lettuce for me) and came with a soy-type dipping sauce. A really nice light lunch or snack which I pared with a juice. The juice I picked was called the ‘Zapote’ and had carrot, some fruit and ginger and was a really awesome refreshing juice for this warmer than normal Brissy winter. Another visit is definitely in my to do list; to try the coffee and a breakfast dish.
