Hallett Cove Shopping Centre

It’s not the size that counts, it is the way it is used. Hallett Cove may be one of the smaller shopping centres in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, remaining in the shadows of shopping giants such as Marion and Colonnades, however it certainly doesn’t skimp on quality.
Housing several restaurants and the awesome Cove Tavern, Hallett Cove has all your dining needs covered. I love the little cafes they have there along with a mini food court filled with my favourite franchises. At the heart of the shopping centre though is a range of small stores that sell everything from clothing to technology. The small stores all have friendly owners, and from my experience as a semi-​frequent customer at the centre, the place has a great sense of community.
The centre was revamped a couple years back and has certainly developed a new persona for the better. It now houses two (that’s right, two) big supermarket chains, both Woolworths and Foodland, a Big W and many coffee shops. There is also a library annexed to the premises, just like Woodcroft Town Center, so it definitely is gaining some size.
It may be less busy than other shopping centres, but Hallett Cove still packs a shopping punch. And besides, being less busy isn’t a bad thing, it means you aren’t hard pressed to find a parking space.

It’s nice to have the expanded shipping centre, but now even many years late heaps empty spaces, and no decent book store. The two supermarkets and fruit shop etc make it worth while

Although not the biggest shopping centre in the southern suburbs, Hallett Cove Shopping Centre is pretty awesome. It’s easier to get a park here than nearby Marion, and you’re always guaranteed to get a table in the fantastic Un Caffe Bar ;)
The big supermarkets in this complex are Foodland, Woolworths and Big W. There is also a small food court, quite a few coffee shops, and smaller retailers. Quite a good selection, actually! The carpark is huge too, catering also for the smaller shopping blocks that are scattered around the site, including restaurants and take-​away businesses, and a gym.
The public library is also in the process of being re-​built, so this complex is just getting better and better ;)
