I LOVETHISPLACE! Firstly, such good pastries, from savoury pies and sausage rolls to almond croissants, these people really know their stuff. Some of my favourite things are; lamb & eggplant sausage rolls, beef pies, chocolate croissants, well, I could go on forever. Secondly, their coffee is really good and they use bonsoy. Bonus! Third, they open early which is great if you want to grab a coffee or a bite to eat before work — there is also lots of nice seating in case you’re meeting friends. And finally, the staff here are just incredible. They remembered my name and ordered by my second visit. They are so friendly and helpful and absolutely lovely. I’m sure this will become a regular destination.

This was a tough review. The food is very good, infact the chilli, beef and red bean pie i had was one of the best pies I’ve ever eaten, the meat was cooked to perfection and the pastry was crunchy and delicious. My complaint lies mainly in the high prices for such simple food and the lack of effort in the interior decorating.

I went to the delightful delicious and delectable Red Door Bakery and coincidentally I got some delightful delicious and delectable delights! I was served by a fantastic young man in a dashing denim apron — simply the best service money could buy! Before you ask, yup, big tip. I was grateful to get a couple sodie pops with my éclair. Will be back!

But you want to know the best bit we needed the bathroom and the young ladies let us use the staffroom HOWGOODISTHAT !!! Iv never known that ever in the Uk, so may see how many places will when I get back …

Sounded like a great place but as i was short on time i didn’t put it very high on my list of places to go. Managed to be going near by so grabbed some takeaway items. Almond croissant which was pretty good. Crème brûlée tart which was delicious and the chocolate tart with honeycomb was amazing. Staff behind the counter was incredibly friendly and polite. Wish i came here for breakfast. Maybe next time.

There is so much goodness at Red Door Bakery. The morrocan lamb sausage rolls are perfection. Get in quick if you want hot food as it can go fast over lunchtimes. But for the love of god, don’t forget the chilli jam. Regular tomato sauce just is not going to cut it with Red Door’s delicious pastries. And for dessert, you abosulutely MUST try the salted carmel chocolate bricks… OH.MY.GOD. Service is friendly & fast. Yeah, it’s a bit pricey for a bakery but the quality is second to none. If you can, grab a seat outside. It can be a bit crowded inside & when you’re outside you get to enjoy the sunshine & just watch the world go by!

Go. Now. Get yourself their pork and sage sausage roll, and perhaps 5 more for good measure! I have been past this well known bakery plenty of times, but today I finally tried it out — maybe that was a bad idea because now all I can think about is their light, buttery, flaky pastry and tasty fillings! Also a nice range of sweet cakes also — we tried the carrot cake with cream cheese icing(YES) and a Chocolate Brick I had hear so much about. The chocolate brick was full on, I would suggest sharing it. Make your taste buds and tummy happy — GO.

Who doesn’t stop in the bakery to grab a pie on the way somewhere? I’ve been wanting to try red door for sometime. I spotted the crème brûlée tarts that everyone raves about, but thought next time. I should have bought it though as the chicken and taragon pie I had was a bit tasteless, if it wasn’t for the chilli jam. $ 7 is pretty expensive for a pie! Too bad the staff were really friendly. Might just have the tart next time.

This is the best bakery I have ever been too. The pork and sage sausage roll… yum! This is a small place but great for a one on one catch up with a friend. It is easily accessible with very friendly staff. I highly recommend Red Door, especially if you’re looking for that fix only bakery food can give you!

I find myself in this über-friendly café a little too often. As a bit of a coffee and pastry addict, I know my weaknesses, but the yummies made by Red Door are quite special. Others have touted the wonders of their salted caramel brick(the ultimate brownie experience), so I don’t need to go into that. I will reveal a little secret, though. They have ice cream. Really good, homemade ice cream in chocolate and coffee flavours. The talented baristas use it for iced coffees and mochas and have recommended mixing flavours for a rock-your-world treat. Every visit has a warm greeting and the food a cult following. Customers get sucked in to the relaxed vibe and leave happy and satisfied. Just a few reasons I keep going back.

The food here is great but the people even more awesome. They remember their regulars and always make you feel welcome. Their savory pies and sausage rolls are perhaps the world’s best hangover cure and words cannot describe the joy that is their crème brûlée tarts and Turkish delight eclairs. They also do a really nice coffee. They’re not the cheapest on the block and the menu is smallish — my only problem is with their pizzas which seem a little mean and dry topping wise. Everything else however rocks.

Holy amazing crapballs batman! This is it — it doesn’t get much better!!! Salted caramel chocolate brick? Croissants with handmade pastry? Bread pull-aparts with chorizo & caramelised onion? Amazing customer service? Search is over. Done. Goodbye.

I have had many pies in my life but Lamb and egg plant pie + Beef pie with tomatoes and Onion was the BEST I HAVEEVERHAD !!! This place is on my hit list of Weekend Get aways for good coffee and Pie. Very friendly staff and good prices. What you get here is better then what you pay for. This place is full of hungry peeps, families, kids and old mums only because this is a good place with good food.

For my money, Red Door offers the best pies and sausage rolls in Adelaide. The beef massaman pies and the pork and sage sausage rolls are consistently amazing, and the rotating selection of sweets are always delicious. The crème brûlée tarts in particular are something else. Good coffee too. The staff are always very friendly, and the place generally has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. You can grab a pie and run, but the food here is good enough to make you want to sit at the benches outside and sedately enjoy every mouthful. Highly recommended.

OMG — crème brûlée tarts to absolutely die for!!! Close your eyes and you could be sitting on a Parisian side walk, sipping coffee and savouring every buttery, flakiest, gooey, creamy mouthful except of course you are on King William Road, Goodwood. Red Door Bakery can cater for a pie on the run(gourmet of course) to a sit down indulgent casual snack or lunch with coffee. The inner south’s most recent contribution to the growing availabilty of artisan bread, pizza, gourmet savoury pastries and patisserie sweets is a definite highlight and well worth it — if even just for the tarts. Easy parking at the more accessible end of KW Rd and you’ll be scoffing and dreaming of Paris before you know it!

This recently opened bakery, sister to the Croydon bakery of the same name, sets itself up in a hipster-vibe fashion, popular to most new businesses in the Adelaide area. Before walking into the bakery you are greeted by the window display of freshly baked artisan bread, with a broad selection of grains, types and flavours(chorizo and caramelised onion — delicious!). Walking through the doors other baked goods are on display across the counter ranging from pizzas and sandwiches to croissants and then everyone’s favourite — the sausage rolls and pie display. The Red Door Bakery has a varied offering across the traditional bakery staples and the friendly staff are more than happy to assist you when trying to make your selection. On my visit I ordered an artichoke, mushroom and parmesan pizza as well as a fresh sourdough loaf and was delighted with the results. The Red Door bakery benefits from an excellent location, good selection and excellent customer service. I’ll be back soon!
