Considering this is across the road from us it’s hard not to review, good cheap Tuesday deals, nice toppings, bases could do with a bit less dough but other than that, nice service and convenient

The pizza here is sooooo good. This place isn’t your regular pizza place and that’s a good thing. The range of pizzas they have is pretty extensive and it’s always hard to pick the one you want — Thankfully they do half-​and-​half pizzas!
My personal favourite is the «T-​Rex» pizza. Bacon, chicken, pepperoni… how could you possibly go wrong? In terms of proportion sizes, 1 large pizza will quite easily feed 2 guys for dinner on a Saturday night in and all up cost about $ 20.

Empire Pizzeria is the closest pizza joint near us so that’s our first choice when we have a pizza night.
I find their menu a little unusual with pizza toppings inspired from different influences: thai, mexican and indian are the first ones that come to mind but there are more than that. I am more of a traditional toppings person so I find it a bit hard to choose a pizza from Empire as there always one topping on one of their set pizzas that I won’t like or find a bit too weird. That said, I really liked the Antipasto one and I have also tried the Mona Lisa (vegetarian) and Tijuana.
I wouldn’t hesitate to order their pizzas again but I am not really a big fan either…

Empire Pizzeria in Glendalough seems to be famous for miles around. At any given time on any given day the car park outside will be full of people eagerly awaiting their pizza pies. And it’s no surprise either — they don’t just offer the tired old toppings like ham and sweetcorn (although there’s no reason why they won’t make you up a boring one like that), but why would you want that when you could try such gourmet delights as thai green curry chicken, lamb, roast pumpkin, coconut or smoked salmon?
And that’s just the half of it! You haven’t lived until you’ve tried their dessert pizzas. Your senses will go into overload when you open the box to unveil a coconut, glazed cherry, chocolate, icing sugar and marshmallow pizza.
The only negative thing I will say is that you will be waiting a considerable amout of time if you turn up at the door and order on the spot — roughly 20 – 30 minutes depending on how busy they are, and your wait will be pretty uncomforatable. Either you’ll have to stand in the cramped little shop or you’ll be one of the lucky three who gets a spot on one of their wobbly high stools by the window. But that’s a small price to pay for a damn tasty pizza!
