Just terrible service. Breakfast came out fifteen minutes apart. One coffee never turned up. Constant reminding to staff that we were here. And we only had a table for two.

Good quality all rounder food with good service. I’ve been here a hand full of times already and haven’t had a bad dish. There aren’t any dishes that stand out or blow my mind away but they have a standard/boring selection that’s always a «safe bet».

In Japanese I think Teru means brilliant… But this little spot was neither Japanese nor brilliant. I actually don’t remember the last 2 stars I gave out. Terri Café & Pizza was my second attempt at trying some of the cafes on this end of Glebe point road. Décor is the same as most on this street, combo wood/tile floors, brightly painted walls with dozens of posters and eclectic artwork. Table for two for me. Its rainy so not wanting to fight the drizzle I sit inside. I’m surprised to find table service again. Still on a veggie kick from yesterday’s Badde Manor I go with the… some name I can’t remember… which is toast with melted mozzerella, asparagus and spinach with a poached egg and a side of ham. I opt out of ham and ask for mushrooms and fresh tomato instead, and a large flat white. My food comes out first, very quickly might I add, its not until i’m almost finished that I inquire about my coffee… they’ve forgotten, first complaint. My second complaint is the soggy bread and the ‘chunks’ of fresh tomato. I would have loved some really crunchy toast to balance out the oozy poached egg and garlicky mushrooms. Unfortunately, I had trouble cutting through what I think was turkish toast because it was… meh and the tomatoes were not ripe so difficult to eat. My compliment is for the mozzarella, asparagus and steamed spinach(yay to veggies!) and bonus was the half portion for $ 8.50! As I go to check out I’m given a price of $ 16.50. what? They’ve charged me 2.50 for the sub mushrooms??? Not cool guys, though i understand the 1.50 for tomato. Think i’ll skip this place next time on this side of Glebe.

This cute, little café in the heart of Glebe was a real pleasure to dine at! We stopped here for breakfast just before heading into Glebe markets and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. The girls working there were really friendly and the food was really tasty. I got poached eggs on toast with mushrooms and it was so fresh and tasty.

Finally had a try at one of Glebe Point Road’s many eateries. I originally had a craving for Peruvian and heard El Amigo is one of the best, but unfortunately they were closed on a Saturday afternoon. My friend Brooke, who lives in the area, suggested we roam the street until we find something our belly’s were craving. Slightly hungover, a greasy burger and chips sounded like an excellent idea to me. We stopped by Teru just to check out the menu. It’s a neat little place with really chic décor. Nothing really unique about the menu. Seemed like your standard café with sandwiches, salads and burgers. I asked our server about their 220g beef burger and he guaranteed that their burger is the best in town. Well shucks, I guess I better try this«best burger in town»… But I won’t have beef, I’ll have the lamb burger instead. For $ 13.50, I was expecting the burger to be simply amazing and nothing short of spectacular. What a disappointment… Patty was thick and juicy, but I wouldn’t consider it anything special. In fact, Lord of the Fries probably makes a better burger. Perhaps Glebe just isn’t known for burgers that’s why they can claim it the best in town. I think my favourite part of my meal was the view of Glebe Point Road. I probably won’t be back anytime soon. There are just so many other café’s and restaurants on GPR I’d like to try first.

Out of the squillion and a half cafes and eateries on Glebe Point Road, BF and I stumbled upon this little establishment for lunch last week. I’ve given up bread for Lent, so the normal sandwich/wrap choice is currently off the table; I also try to make it a point not to get a salad when I go out since I can make salad. After a quick perusal of the menu,(and staring lovingly at the pizza and sandwich case, which looked pretty gangsta) we made the decision to have a seat. BF decided on a coffee(flat white) and just a tiramisu, his fave, since he normally eats half my meal anyway. I fancied a bit of pasta, but this being a new place, I figured I’d ask the waitstaff about their dishes. «Excuse me,» I inquired of the dark haired waiter, «I’m trying to decide between the mushroom spaghetti and the cannelloni. Which do you recommend?» The waiter visibly puffed up with pride. «We’re Italian and we make everything from scratch. Both are great. But I love the mushroom spaghetti. It’s a pretty serious spaghetti. Try it.» So I did. Now, one of my magical foodie qualities is that I can recall every single ingredient for the dish as it is promised on the menu. I can’t tell you how many times BF has squirmed in embarrassment while I inquire as to where the sesame seeds are, or «Sorry, I believe these almonds were meant to be spiced?» So, hats off for Teru for getting it right! Their mushroom spaghetti promised porcini mushrooms, pork sausage mince, asparagus, fresh tomato, and a touch of cream topped with parmesan(see? I still remember!) and all promised ingredients were not skimped on. The portion was on the biggish side, but not ridiculous, and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. A well balanced and delicious dish. At $ 19, a reasonable price. BF’s coffee was pretty good too, and the tiramisu was very traditional– strongly flavored with espresso and rum, not too much mascarpone. We did have to ask for water, but whatevs. I had a pleasant chat with the waiter whilst paying our bill about my appreciation for his recommendation, and he enthused about their breakfast options. We’ll be back to try them. I’ve also seen a «all-you-can-eat pizza Sundays» advertised for $ 19– I’ll be trying that as well!

This place is cute, great atmosphere, live music, lovely staff. Trouble is, the food just isn’t that great. You might score an occasional yum, I’m sure, but the four or five dishes I’ve had here were either too salty, entirely flavorless, or the flavors didn’t blend well.

I was in two minds about giving this place 3 stars or 4 stars. I think it deserves 3.5, but I can’t do that, so… oh well! We stopped by here the other evening for a quick bite to eat. I had the mussels in a fresh tomato sauce and my friend had the calamari. The mussels were delicious, but a little small and lost in the tomato sauce. The calamari was very soggy and droopy and not so great. Should be crisp. We had coffees too. Mine was great. I mean, «3 stars A-OK» is perfect for my experience here, actually. If not for the calamari, I would have given it 4 stars. The waitress was nice. The music was a bit too loud outside and blaring right into my ear, it made it hard to talk. That’s all folks!

Quality pizza at affordable prices is of course the specialty here(once you try their crust, you won’t go back) but this great Italian joint is so much more. The service is outstanding-they pay a lot of attention to detail and their food presentation is impeccable. The pancakes for breakfast are some of the best in town. A great place for dinner before a night out, a casual brekkie, or a single(but generous) slice of pizza for the weekend lunch as you stroll through the Glebe markets If you’re eating in, the average you’ll pay for a meal is $ 15-$ 25.

Coffee and a pizza please. And yes, you can just get one slice. No more woes about overeating at Teru. You know when you buy a pizza and the serving is just so huge that your excuse for overeating was not wanting to add to the food wastage epidemic. Well here you don’t have to worry as the portions have been very nicely prepared. The pizza base I had was melt in your mouth and although not deep pan it was god. For traditional Italian gourmet pizza there was actually cheese on it, which is rare. I love the different herbal fusions you get from the gourmet pizzas which comes from the vinegar and oils used to season the other products and that’s obvious here. I’d recommend it. It’s convenient on Glebe Point Rd and friendly. Not to pressurizing at all.
