Love the vibe of this adorable bar/café, staff are friendly and the food looked good but this visit round I did not get to ingest what I saw. Believe me if I did, I may be a lot rounder than I am now. Tacos looked amazing.

Well, I’ve found my place. I know I’ve only been in Brisbane for three weeks, but you know when you meet someone and you’re like«Right. I’ll have you. In my pocket, come on!», well, that’s how I feel about Bloodhound. I’ve been there a few times now, and I am always greeted with smiles and genuine pleasantries from the team. My first time I sat at the bar, worked on my phone and casually chatted to Alice the bartender. I sipped my first sip of the incredible Willie Smiths cider(TAS) and was wowed by their stupidly extensive beer menu. Next time I popped in with my mum and housemate. We grabbed our drinks at sat the window, chatting away and had a grand ‘olé time. Mother dearest enjoyed a few glasses of tempranillo and L and I tucked into pints of cider. After watching and hearing the team deal with an incredibly rude and offensive customer, I was really impressed with them. They were calm, honest and didn’t let it get to them. My next visit was with a friend of mine. We sat at the bar, enjoyed some very good banter about espresso martini’s and sunk some pints. They were doing 25% everything in a bottle, so I jumped on it and tried another Willie Smiths. YUM. I’ve since been back twice with two different friends and I just love it. They spice their own rum, they do buy one get one free tacos on a Tuesday and they have a whole upstairs that I’m yet to even explore. The crowd are cool, the booze is great but hats off to the team, because they really make this venue!

This place is awesome. Since I joined Unilocal in January this year it has open up so many doors to new things. I love it. This place has boutique beer, and cider on tap. Go through to the rooms at the back and you will find the pinball machine, as well as board games. Oh and of course the«Sacrificial Alter«as well, it’s not really, but you will see what I mean in my photo. We order the meat platter for two. You get 3 deli meats, salty-spicy cashews, olives & pinto beans dip, served with toasted chimichurri infused ciabatta.

Casual fun bar… nice crowd, not stuffy. The staff are attentive and friendly. Must try the pumpkin ale now on tap… it is sooo tasty. I came on a Sunday and ordered a kilo of wings and paddle of beer for $ 25 which is a great deal, however the wings did not have much taste, even with the sauce. Overall, its a neat bar to grab a drink or 2 at before heading out for the night. I would come back during happy hour(big drinks for the price of a small) to check out their other beer offerings.

Great almost intimate bar that serves really interesting and very tasty meals. The yuka & mozzarella balls are out of this world and the Chaufa is a vegetarian delight. Add to this that the beer on tap is excellent and you have a real winner

Bloodhound Bar is a welcome addition to the Valley, taking over the old Tibetan Kitchen spot down Brunswick Street. It might be the tucked away location, but the two times we’ve been it hasn’t been overflowing with people, so it’s super comfortable and you don’t need to fight your way to the bar. Heaps of great craft beer on tap and an interesting Peruvian menu make this a must do. We had some tacos and some stuffed pepper thingies and they were delicious.
