We always end up here for work drinks, and sometimes work lunches as well. The food is typical pub fare, with the vego options running to pizza or salad, but they have a variety of $ 10 specials on any given day. It’s a pretty big pub, easy enough to get a table and good for groups, with a very mixed crowd(uni students, professionals, tradies). They have a lot of beers on tap but somehow don’t have my favourite! which is why the Flodge can never be my go-to pub.

This is my local because it has the best beer selection AND the best menu in comparison to anywhere else in forest lodge, Glebe, or Annandale

We came here on a school night and were pleasantly surprised. What seems like a old mans pub from the outside is actually quite nice and moderately busy on the inside. The food is decent pub food(read into that what you will, but the southern fried chicken pocket was awesome) with good portions for a moderate price. It’ll be a little bit more expensive than pubs a little bit further out. Think $ 15 for a filling meal. Tends to attract a younger crowd, seems to have a smoking area(ugh), or at least a bunch of smokers was in a certain area — I’m going to assume it exists. Some pokies are around, but no one on them when we were in — maybe it was too early.

The outside makes it look like a local that profits off pokies and local beer. On the inside its a cool, candle lit bar, fairy light bar with a dozen craft beers on tap. I heard he smiths and joy division within the first few songs there, bonus. While the menu is standard pub issue it manages to be pretty decent. $ 20 to $ 30 for a meal seems a bit pricey for the area. Notably, the venue has a few really cool games. Street fighter 2, circus of Voltaire pin ball machine, a cocktail table with space invaders and a pool table. A really nice surprise. Check it out!

Good reliable pub food, prices a bit high for what it is but that isn’t a trend with pubs in the inner west. They have some good specials through the week for those on a budget.

As most people have said, this pub prefers the incognito look and to be honest, I lived in Forest Lodge for a year before I even knew it was there! That being said since visiting more than a few times I have only praise for it. Drinks and food are much cheaper than the Nags Head, and possibly even the Roxbury. The menu is good old pub grub that you’d find everywhere else. The only gripe if had with the food so far was the pizza — the cheese that I had on mine tasted really cheap and plastic-y, but that could have been a one off. This is very much a locals pub and with the beer garden out the back expect to see families and their kids as well as the regulars around the pool and ping bong tables. If you want to try something new in the area I definitely recommend giving the Forest Lodge hotel a visit!

It do’s not look much from outside, but once you get inside. There is the usual beer and some interesting beer I have not seen before. The food is good value. They have specials each day, but you have to be there early(5−7pm) I had mussels, they were very nice and only $ 10.00. I will be going again.

A hidden pub and if you didn’t know it was there you probably wouldn’t stumble across it. The extensive menu of pub grub is seriously good value and ever so filling. They’ve got some really interesting daily specials chalked up on a board too to wet your appetite! My favourite thing about this pub is the spacious beer garden, resplendent in blooming shrubbery where if you’ll find many locals popping by with their dogs to enjoy the sun and a cold beer.

The Forest Lodge Hotel in Glebe just a block back from Parramatta road is a great local pub that caters for the uni students up the road, travellers passing through or your near by locals. There’s a nice café and bistro where you can enjoy a meal from and I must say my companion and I were quite happy with the chorizo pasta and steak that we ordered. And more importantly it didn’t break the budget. If you are a traveller there is accommodation upstairs if you need to rest those weary legs. It’s by no means spectacular or fine dining but it doesn’t pretend to be. A nice place and well worth a drop in if near by.
