I just LOVE the Boulevard. It’s designed so well, so even if it is packed, there are still many break out areas that you don’t feel like you’re crammed in. I had birthday drinks here and the functions coordinator Laura was so helpful and nice. It was raining on the day so she moved us to a sweet spot inside, no dramas. The best part was there was no function hire fee and opening a tab for food and drinks was made really easy. The menu has got lots of options on it depending on whether you want a full meal or nibbles and the pizzas are delicious, one has egg on it which is cooked to perfection! I can’t stop thinking about it. The wine list also has lots of options, including my new fave, a delicious proper Italian Pinot Grigio.

Loving the Quinoa and Feekeh Salad. Been back for more. Great service and enjoyed the dappled sun in the garden. A perfect Thursday lunch. I’ll be back.

Went to the Boulevard(as I often do) with a friend on Monday 2nd Nov, 2015 for half price pizza night — always a winner. The pizza menu has changed — unfortunately the Chorizo and manchego cheese pizza is not longer available(was the most amazing pizza ever).! The service is always OUTSTANDING, but it seems they have some new waitstaff. After waiting at the table in the garden for 10 – 15 mins, I had to go inside to the bar to inform them that we had arrived and wanted menus… They finally arrived and we placed our order — a Margherita and a NEW Meatball and onion ring pizza(see photo). Everything seemed OK until they brought out the Margherita pizza and a chicken pizza — and we had to wait for the correct pizza to be delivered. I also ordered a second pint whilst waiting — but this did not come for approx 20mins later which upset me slightly. After finishing the meal, we waited for a further 23mins for a desert menu — and eventually had to flag down the waitress who seemed to deliberately ignore us. Strange, because I had already voiced some disapproval over these issues. She gave us the desert menus only after being prompted — by which time we were over the experience and wanted to get home. As usual the food was AMAZING(hence the 5 rating) — but the service would have been better in Auschwitz… Lol When bringing this to the attention of management, the bill was adjusted accordingly, restoring our faith in the establishment and ensuring return business. My concerns were addressed with the utmost professionalism — and as stated, the inconvenience and frustration we experienced was«made right»… Very happy with this fantastic, comfortable venue and would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends… I WILLBEBACKTHANKSTOTHEMANAGEMENT — ANDKITCHEN — perhaps we caught them on an «off service» evening. All in all, as a regular customer, I only have good things to say about this fabulous establishment. You will not be disappointed by this place — well worth every cent spent. Top score — despite the efforts(or lack thereof) of new staff…

Alongside a delicious meal, we got to sample all of the beers that were on offer. It was my first experience with a beer sampling and I have to say I was really impressed. The options for beer were really spectacular and you could really taste the difference between all of the different types. I have to say though I am a bit of a sweet tooth and, of course, the cider was my favourite. Custard & Co is really awesome and their choice cider goes down smooth. I really loved Pirate Life and if you see this beer take the opportunity to smell its aroma. Strange I know, but it really does have a vibrant fresh scent! We were seated at a long table in the beer garden just out of site from the sun and the food was to die for. I also heard while I was there that The Boulevard has the best steak, so you know I will be returning!

Turned up on a weeknight with a friend and managed to get a table. I was surprised at how many people were there for dinner on a Tuesday! Great service, yummy food and a decent wine list is why! There are tables outside with heaters and even a fireplace, or more formal tables inside. Thumbs up!

A gem in the suburbs, the venue has a great atmosphere and a really good place for an up market pub. Enjoyed the variety of drinks and service was great. Limited menu but the food was well prepared.

I’ve had drinks here before but never got around to having a meal here. I’m glad I did. The salt & pepper squid were super crispy and flavoursome, while the greens & grains(a serving of three salads) was really hearty and tasted good too. The steak sandwich is also a good bet with a nicely grilled steak. The arancini were big balls of delicious tomato-based flavour, moist and moreish. But I especially loved the pizzas. The sweet potato, leek & goats cheese and the chorizo, kalamata olive & manchego were both really delicious combinations, with just the right amount of topping and a nice base that wasn’t too thin or thick. Spot on. The table service was professional yet friendly and I love the décor here — eclectic, interesting, warm and inviting, with the garden terrace now looking really lush and leafy.

The Blvd. Hotel is a bit out of the way for me, but we came prior to an event at Challenge Stadium. Pubs, to me, don’t have much to set each other apart. Where The Boulevard Hotel did win me over was their bathrooms. Speaking on behalf of my lady counterparts, they are amazing!!! Why does this area always get left out and deemed unnecessary?! Ample, nice, and clean bathrooms with real lighting — what a treat and at a Pub nonetheless. There are some 5-star dining restaurants in this town that could learn a thing or two! Service was a bit on the bizarre side. They won’t split checks, but to alleviate this you can order at the bar, but our ‘server’(who we didn’t want, because hello you won’t split our check) kept pushing us to order through him. So, those that did ended up having a headache trying to sort out the check. Lastly, the bar has a separate menu than from table service. Seems more complicated than it needs to be. I only had the pizza(chorizo, pumpkin) and both were really good. The dough actually had some heft to it and the ingredients tasted fresh.

Tuesday night is Shank & Shiraz night I went here with a small group of 4 and we all ordered the Shank & Shiraz, we were not disappointed. The Lamb Shank was a decent size and came out on a bed of mash with green beans, we also had roast vegetables to share(cauliflower, beetroot and pumpkin). At this point I will add we did not need starters or pudding this was enough even for big hungry men. Service was attentive and even when one member of my party knocked over half his beer it wasn’t an issue, cleaned up quickly and a new beer promptly took its place FORFREE. Enjoyed the evening greatly and will be going back for there winter Tuesday night special again, only this time taking more friends!

We came here for a large group gathering on a Saturday afternoon, and I was really pleased with how the bistro has transformed since my last visit several years ago. I didn’t manage to make it here for the Unilocal event earlier in the year, but I’m glad I’ve now seen how it looks. We only ordered two dishes — steak sandwich and arancini. The steak was well cooked and it was served between Turkish bread slices along with fresh and crunchy vegetables, and a side of chips. There were 6 arancini to the serving, and they were exceptionally moist and delicious. The risotto rice was really tasty, and the pumpkin flavour was not overpowering. I’d love to go back and try some other dishes, as well as sample the large range of beer at the bar. A great example of suburban bistro fare.

What can I say about $ 10 pizzas on Monday? Only that you should get your bums down there and hoe in. About 5 to select on the menu, they come out pretty darn quickly, all thin crusted and delightful. They are a decent size, too. One is more than enough for one person, in my humble opinion. There’s a great selection of wines by the glass to accompany your food. Of course, the general menu is also available, if you’re not feeling pizza-ish. Terrific service, lots of different clusters of seating, both inside and outside, gives you room to move and options for seclusion, or right in the thick of things. I love this joint!

I’m becoming quite fond of The Boulevard Hotel which takes up one corner of the Floreat Forum Shopping Centre. It all seems to get my tick of approval. It’s menu really depicts what a gastropub menu should look and taste like. Some of the things off the menu I have tried recently include the prawn linguine(this is a firm favourite), the sausage rolls, the mouthwatering home made lamb shoulder tortellini with garden peas, basil and shaved parmesan and the arancini balls. The tortellini was absolutely delicious. Pockets of pasta with lamb that just melts into your mouth. Do yourself a favour and order this next time you’re there. And the arancini balls. I think I’ve gone to The Boulevard just to eat these. The drinks menu also pleases with a nice selection of wine, beers and cocktails. And the décor and ambience of the venue is really something. From the tranquility of the courtyard with the towering palm trees and water feature to the luxurious interior, it’s been designed exceptionally well. And this might be a bit of a random comment but the plastic chairs that they use at the tables outdoors for the restaurant part are some of the most comfortable outdoor chairs I’ve ever sat upon. I must find out where they get these from. Want! Possibly the one thing going against the Boulevard is that it is located in a daggy shopping centre with not much else going on around. But for the Floreat locals, they have scored with this neighbourhood pub.

I’ve been here twice now for both Unilocal events and have really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the food is really tasty. I have had most of the food in canapé form such as the arancini balls, pizza, salt and pepper squid etc and all have been really good. The other night I got the chilli prawn pizza and it was delicious! And actually was spicy where a lot of pizzas lack on the chilli! The layout of the place is really nice with good lighting and lots of seating options. Just from the two Unilocal events I will definitely be frequenting this place more often.

OK, so I’m 45 and what I think is cool may not be what many think is cool. The facts are I spent my teen years in pubs. Lounge style pubs like the Glengarry, Carine and when we felt like getting ritzy the Lookout… So The Boulevard is like, wow, spot on. It’s a contemporary bar style with some good food, a reasonable wine list, and surrounded by the loooocals dahling. I rate it. Give it a crack. It beats the Glengarry for sure…

My first time, a Monday evening, catching up with all my married friends. Nicely mood lit, renovated, & we were given a nice large table in a private corner. Being a Monday it was very quiet, which suited us. I tried the Brewmasters choice to start, shared lemon pepper squid and the usual appetizers, and moved on to the lamb pizza for mains. Everything was delicious and above average for pub-grub. I didnt get desert, but the Pavlova my mate shared with his wife looked delicious and more than enough. Total bill was quite reasonable for the number of us who attended, a bit of a hassle trying to sort out the bill… we didnt try and split/separate bill… which mqy have been easier and saved me some cash. All in all, the perfect venue to catchup over a drink & meal, plenty of parking under the shopping centre.

If you love the Brisbane in Mount Lawley, you’ll love what Geoff Hayward’s created with the Boulevard. It has a relaxing atmosphere– think lots of light, open space, wood floors and exposed brick offering modern Australian food which is simple, honest and delicious. I came here for an early dinner dash on a Thursday night at around 6pm. There was already people relaxing with drinks in their hand and quite a few tables occupied which made me worry that I wouldn’t get my food time due to time restraints. However, never doubt the Boulevard, drinks arrived promptly followed by food– friendly, fast service. My go to at the Brisbane is the roast pumpkin, caramelised onion, goat’s cheese pizza which is also on offer here, however I opted for the warm poached chicken salad, pearl couscous, roast baby carrot, endive, green beans, vincotto. I also shared the quinoa, couscous, pine nut, currants and parsley dish-great side option. Both meals were light, full of flavour, fresh and summery. The Boulevard is perfect for groups, families, Sunday sessions in the terrace and after work drinks. I’m a big fan!

The Boulevard has opened its doors when I was in Vancouver. I was surprised to see such a gem in this location. However, its designed and run by a great team who’s also responsible for the brisbane, so there you go. I had steak sandwich and my partner had poached chicken salad. The sandwich was huge, and the caramelized onions were perfect. Steak was med-rare and quite tender. The chicken salad was my favorite. Beautiful fig reduction complemented the dish nicely. We had sauvignon blancs, and I must say that it took a while to choose. Service was more friendly than professional, which I welcome. Its refreshing to have genuine staff who is not all over you but not rude either. Perfect spot for a date, the décor is warm and the menu is short and sweet. Might be one of the best pubs out there.

Came here for the Unilocal Hollywood event and thought it was a nice venue. I never saw the old Floreat pub as it was but this new fit out seems to tie in with the area pretty well. The food we tried was all delicious but I did not get a chance to see the beer & wine on offer or a full menu so will have to return to try that out! All up, the event ran extremely smoothly which must be attributed to the great staff at the boulevard :) Thanks for having us!
