Pizza is the perfect accompaniment to a night in with a bunch of DVDs and a group of mates and I always head straight to Crust for my pizza needs/cravings. They are reasonably quick in regards to deliveries, usually only a half hour wait and the gents that come to the door are always very friendly. They have a wide range of pizzas available — all the classics and a special gourmet list if you are after something a bit fancier. You can order online if you are too lazy to pick up the phone, however they only take credit cards for some reason which is quite frustrating, so we always end up just giving them a call. Yes it can be expensive, but that’s the price you pay if you don’t want to get a greasy version from a certain cheap chain.

I regularly order from the Collingwood branch of the Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar. You can order easily online and don’t have to pay for the delivery charge if you sign up as a VIP(anyone can). They say that your order should be with you in an hour and they are always pretty good keeping to this time. The pizzas themselves are extremely tasty and they have a great topping to base ratio. The pizzas I go for are generally thin crust but you can also choose between Calzones, Chicago deep dish styles and rectangular shaped ones. My personal favourites are the Moroccan lamb and the Philly Steak. The BBQ chicken calzone is also really good. On our last time ordering they got the salad order wrong. We called them up and within 15 – 20 mins they had replaced it with the correct one. So I’d say the service is pretty good. Crust is not a cheap option though. But for gourmet pizzas places that deliver i don’t know of a better place that delivers to Fiztroy. Please enlighten me…
