Why do I love bargain variety stores so much? Because once in a while you come across one like this that has the most random and obscure products. Lots of bargain shops are much the same, but this one is a cut above and rather to the left of the rest. This enormous shop(two shops in fact, turned into one) has a fantastic range of costumes for kids and adults, from the all-in-one costume in a bag to tons of accessories. You can get about three different styles of sequinned hats in as many colours, as well as top hats, cowboy hats, leprechaun hats and some that can only be classed as alien head-wear. One product that really made me chuckle was the box of scented doggy bags, with easy tie handles and«A lovely scent to mask any odours.» At $ 2 for 100 bags, I was tempted to carry them with me and hand them out to those aggravating people who don’t have them. Though I’d probably end up smelling rather odd. Odouring masking odours are never great. My favourite product in here though is the Fly Annihilator, the largest fly swat I’ve ever seen! It comes in happy bright colours, and I suspect would get used for bigger targets than flies. This shop also has a huge range of DIY jewelry, and I do mean several hundred types of beads. Then there are the brides’ garters and hen’s night accessories across the aisle which I’ll remember for future reference. Lastly, I was impressed by the range of cards. One of the shop walls is covered entirely in cards, and there are more besides, and all are $ 1. I stocked up while I was there. Cards are always useful to have! I also got quite a bit of unusual stationary that I’d been looking for, like a specific size of notepad to fit a difficult cover that I can’t bear to throw out. This shop is a delightful ride of oddities and silly things to make life more fun.
