We’ve returned to The Napier a few times and they always offer a good range of food, that is decent, but a little average. The coffee is great; strong and hot, served as soon as you’re seated. The menu offers a range of dishes to suit whatever breakfast staple you’re after, from big breakfasts, to brioche buns and muesli. I ordered the corn & quinoa fritters with smoked salmon, a poached egg and beetroot relish. The fritters were crispy, flavoursome and balanced nicely with the beetroot & egg. The salmon however, was too thick for the rest of the dish, and it’s smokiness overpowered the other components. Nice, but the balance was a little off — will still return to try other items.

In my last review I forgot to mention the staff… who are lovely! Always willing to assist and have a chat. The food is still great and the drinks menu has a food variety of alcoholic and non alcohol beverages. We’ll continue to be regulars!

Dropped in for a coffee, asked for a hot cappuccino — the result great. Would recommend.
