My first spray tan experience! So apparently getting married means you have to do all this weird and wonderful stuff to yourself. Getting a spray tan for the big day is what my friends in the Australian beauty industry call ‘a must do’, to avoid natural tan lines in photos. So I jumped aboard the spray tan train for the first time last week for a trial. Spray Tan Perth operates out of a house on Davillia Road Duncraig, just near the corner or Warwick Road. You stand in what must have been an old bathroom, but is now kitted out for spray tans, and she puts you into paper knickers and applies the tanning liquid with a spray gun. It’s all pretty humiliating. The tan that I went with, was Miami, which you wash off a few hours after you’ve had it applied. My friend tells me you can control the depth of darkness this way, instead of sleeping in it. Though you give it a good wash off it still seems to get on your sheets and clothes a bit the next day which is not ideal, but it does come out in the wash. They don’t tell you when you book, but you must exfoliate heavily before you go there, ideally you’ll jump straight out of the shower and go to the business. You can use an expensive rough moisturising scrub or sea salt and olive oil is a natural cheaper option. Overall for me, I’ll get one done again for the wedding, but it’s all a bit too much effort and expense just to be tanned for general day to day wear. Also the price could probably be reduced seeing as they room was just a gutted bathroom at her house, and there were no extras or many pleasantries included for $ 45. Cash only.
