I recently ordered 12 bottles of my beloved Grandfather port online from them. Where I live(UK) this wine is hard to come by. Happy that their website said they ship to UK be it at fairly large cost, I went ahead and filled their form and received a confirmation of the order. Next day I get another confirmation of the order, with the exact chargers after deduction of taxes, etc and my credit card sends me a text that I was charged for it. So far so good. 3 days later, I get an email saying due to security issues, they cannot ship the wine having taken my money! They offered to refund it and if I still wanted the wine I should go to my bank and make an international bank transfer to their account! I still do not understand what they are talking about, having taken money from my credit card which is confirmed as paid by my credit card company. The merchants say that they have received the money too so what security? They did however refund the money to be fair. Well maybe next time.

If anyone can find a bottle shop with a better selection of gins, please let me know. I won’t hold my breath. This place takes its gin very seriously. I only wish they would stock Fentimans tonic water.
