Unlike it’s unpopular counterpart the dentist, nobody has any particular feelings towards the optometrist. In fact, if your vision is mainly ok you probably have never had much cause to ponder them. For those amongst us with less genetically-blessed peepers, Sturdee Eyes is a gem amongst optometrists. It’s not hard to get an appointment — no two-week waiting period here — with any of the friendly optometrists, although I’d recommend arriving early for your appointment because it’s damn near impossible to find a park on Sturdee Parade. The optometrists are chatty and friendly, taking a holistic approach to the well-being of your eyes and general health. They usually run to time, but waiting here isn’t much of a problem — the waiting room is a veritable glasses warehouse, with many an option to try. Fun! If you’re out of contacts or need a referral, Sturdee Eyes are reasonable — they give you what you need without the boring(and expensive) necessity of coming in to have a piece of paper filled out for you. A visit here can be partially claimed on Medicare, partially on private health insurance, meaning there’s no excuse to put it off any longer!
