I only had dessert here after eating Japanese food at another restaurant nearby. The Apple & Blueberry Crumble was great, really light. Then I had the homemade Limoncello which was absolutely fantastic. I’d come here again just for the Limoncello! As I have never eaten a main meal here, I can’t comment on that. However, the pizza that other diners were eating looked pretty good from what I could see. Will try that another time.

The food is fine… It’s TOO noisy… And the waitress took my husband’s plate away without asking him if he was done and it happened so quickly that he didn’t get a chance to tell her he wasn’t done!!! It just left us sitting there looking at each other not believing what had just happened…

The food is basic but hearty and the staff were friendly. However, what was slightly amusing was that they got our order wrong three times. I could have ended up with a Peroni and bolognese instead of a Sauvignon and chianti… But both options would have been tasty, I’m sure…

Had a few pasta dishes here and they’ve all been very good. The linguine mare(basically a marinara(seafood and pasta)) is the chef’s speciality and the best marinara I’ve had. The coffee here is also good and they’re open until almost 11pm all nights(including Sunday but with the exception of Monday, for which they are closed all day and night for whatever reason). They have a good selection of gelato as well, but really you want to be grabbing that from Sparrow just around the corner.

We decided to try this place after an evening with friends. My fiancé and I walked in and ordered a bottle of water and decaf latte eat in, and were also thinking about ordering some dessert to finish off a great evening. I will never, recommend, or go near this place again. All review websites have similar experiences to mine below. However, the barista misheard us and thought we were getting takeaway. We sat at the entrance, and then decided to move further into the restaurant as there was a breeze, one of the wait staff sat us at(who was in fact very friendly). I am thoroughly disappointed with how the MANAGER behind the counter treated us. As well as the the head waiter. The manager was EXTREMELY rude, and disrespectful when we sat at the empty table. Here’s why: the coffee taking longer than normal, I went to inquire about where our coffee was. He told me, more like commanded, that we sit at the table we were originally at because it was takeaway. I have never, ever, been treated like this as a paying customer — it was as if we were school children! I am many many years out of school… Who on earth treats customers like this!!! To make matters worse, when I returned to the table my fiancé saw the polite waiter be lambasted by the head waiter. Pointing at your paying customers and demanding that they leave because they ordered coffee… I am absolutely furious about how we were treated. And looking at other survey’s below, the management needs a serious overhaul as this is certainly not the first time they have treated customers badly. DONOTGOHERE!

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. My partner and I popped into Bravo Trattoria for a quick bite to eat for lunch, on finding that they had gluten-free options. The waitress was friendly and we ordered a small pizza and a gluten-free pasta with wine. On eating the pasta, I began to feel extremely nauseous and about a third of the way through asked the waitress if the pasta was definitely gluten-free. She assured me it was. Straight after this I had to run to the bathroom and brought up everything I’d eaten. I have a strong stomach and have never had this reaction to food before in ten years of gluten-free eating, even after the occasional mix-up. I explained this to a female manager, who mentioned that it could not have been the food and offered us some gelato vouchers. When going to pay, we realised that they had charged us for the meal that had made me unwell. The male manager at the counter explained that it could not have been the food as it was definitely 100% gluten free and that it could not have been the food that that I’d eaten. After arguing our point for some minutes, he then offered a 50% discount on that dish only and finally after another couple of minutes did not charge for the dish that had made me unwell, saying that we should not have modified the dish(I had requested that anchovies be added to my meal as an extra). Regardless of my gluten allergy, I have never been this sick before and I have certainly never had to argue to not pay for a dish which was only 1⁄3 eaten and which made me physically(and literally) sick. Regardless of whether there was gluten in the food, or whether it was simply food poisoning of some kind, the service was absolutely disgraceful.

Excellent central new location in Crows Nest, at the heart of action. Good wood-fired pizza. Addicted to their gelato. We now stop here for gelato take-away which is high quality and good value.

This place is absolutely fantastic. First time I came here was probably pretty close to a quarter century ago. We used to stuff our faces with spicy food at either Montezuma’s Mesa or Piar Indian(now called Raavi’s Cumin) just around the corner and then cool off with a giant chocolate gelato from this joint. Small and kinda a hole in the wall, but I freaking wish that I didn’t live 7,700 miles away from it. Then again that’s probably a good thing because otherwise I’d be here pretty frequently and the pancreas simply wouldn’t be up to that. Have a look at their page on Facebook to see the sort of wacky gelatos they cook up — it’s mind-boggling. Popcorn gelato, for example. This is one of the finest gelato spots on the planet. If I could only ever have one more dessert for the rest of my life, I’d get it here.(I don’t even KNOW what else they serve, coffee I think? Who cares?!)

The restaurant is on the main road in between woolies and the pub, if you weren’t looking for it you wouldn’t even notice it. The interior was also a bit bland and more like a café than a restaurant. I went with a group of 4, we bought vouchers on one of the sites that entitled us to an entrée and a main meal with a shared dessert and a bottle of wine.(a pretty good deal) We were greeted nicely and had a lovely german waitress who was happy to explain anything on the menu and was very friendly, she informed that the entrees where a choice of any salad or brushetta or bread starter. We decided to share so picked the greek salad, rocket salad and 2 bruschettas. The salads were both fresh and well dressed. The bruschetta was bland and burnt. Mains were also a shared affair, we chose the capricossa, a magarita the fettucine bosciola, and a vegetarian pasta — all were nice and had good ingredients. the the chilli oil was a bit bland. The dessert was a chioce of gelatos — the gelato bar had at least 20 different flavours and before making a commitment you were able to go to the gelato bar and sample which ones you would like. between us we had the chocolate(very rich) vanilla(classic flavour) raspberry(sweet and delicious) the lemon(tangy and tart) cookies and cream(i didn;t try it) and caramel, all the choices were nice . I would recommend that if they had another special voucher to grab one and head over for a cheap night don’t expect 5 star but it was so much better than cooking for yourself.
