Outside the city centre, where there must actually be people who use them, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Laundromat in this city. This one means serious business, with numerous heavy duty washing machines and shiny dryers lined up on either side of the room. When I was there it wasn’t exactly happening; I guess everyone had either already, very responsibly, completed their washing, or they all have washing machines in their homes. If some horrendous catastrophe occurred and I no longer had a working washer and dryer, I would complain a lot, then cart my washing to this place.
