Really bad service. Can not believe that this had such a high rating. would never come here ever again. The general manager approached me without any prompting and wanted to hear what issues were had during drinks at the bar and dinner. He handled the situation with professionalism and was extremely apologetic. The reception staff and rooms were certainly of a high standard. Lets hope the resturant staff were having a bad night and was a once off.

SPAEXPERIENCE I booked a 90 minute Relaxation Massage massage through Red Balloon for The Spa at The Hills Lodge. The Hills Lodge is located in Castle Hill, and was a 40 minute drive from my home. The Spa has all the appropriate amenities — toilet, shower, tea and coffee facilities for after your massage. Also, The Hills Lodge is a hotel resort should you wish to stay overnight and take advantage of other amenities such as the pool. The booking process(mainly in Red Balloon’s control) was quick and pain-free, as can often be the opposite as far as third party voucher companies go. The voucher detailed all the information of how to get there, what to expect, guidelines and dress code. I felt adequately prepared and as such was not left in the awkward position of forgetting something upon my arrival. When I arrived, I filled out a questionnaire which is standard practice for massages. I was given a choice of essential oils for use in my massage and was offered water while I waited for my masseuse. Once it was time, I moved into the room for the massage to get ready. The room was dimly lit, had relaxing music playing, was equipped with towels and a sink for washing hands after the massage. I was given ample time to derobe and lay on the massage table. The massage itself was relaxing and the masseuse was very skilled in her work. Upon the conclusion of my massage, I was offered coffee or tea. At the reception counter, I was asked if I’d like to schedule my next appointment but it was not a pushy request, merely an option available for me. I left The Spa feeling very satisfied with the service I’d received. I’d definitely recommend The Spa and Hills Lodge to those looking for a massage in the Hills district.

Nice! Stayed overnight in Aug 2012 with my hubby and 2 small kids. Had a large room with a king sized bed, king single and pull-out sofa. Room was very clean, beds very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. We weren’t there long but did have breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was also really lovely.

This beautiful hotel was privately owned for man years. Finally it was sold a couple of years ago and modernised. Fronting Windsor Road, it reminds me of Dr Who’s Tardis. It looks quite small but it is so large. The rooms are delightful and very comfortable. My daughter was coming down from the central Coast when she lost control of her car in the rain. She had to stay in Sydney as she had no way of getting back that night. I phoned and made a booking, they were so helpful and even though they were busy, they found a room from my daughter and her partner at 9pm at night. We celebrated my sister-in-law’s 60th birthday at the hotel. The food was great, every course a winner. We had wonderful service, the staff were terrific. Now I go to the Spa at the hotel. It’s in a separate building, right next to the swimming pool and it is really rather luxurious. They offer all sorts of things like body wraps and stone massages. The only problem is getting through to them. They don’t have a separate receptionist so you have to leave a message. However, if you want to spoil yourself or a friend, there’s nothing better.
