The Chef and the Cook

This little gem is tucked off Parramatta Road and has the worlds loveliest staff in it.
She didn’t mind that we seemed to melt at the door when we walked in due to the air con being so knee weakeningly good. We blocked the door for a few minutes taking in the cool.
For all your kitchen needs. From cutlery, to plates, to tea pots (with and without cozies) to interesting knife holders that are filled with this stuff that makes you want to stab it repeatedly with the knife. Which I did. It was joyous.
Pots, pans, clay pots, cups, glassware, drink bottles, baking goodies, candles, things and stuff!
Anything and everything you might want to deck out your kitchen.
And delicious little round biscuit ice-​creams that made me squeal in glee.
Go in and say g’day some time.

If this place could also sell skill also it would have everything I need to cook up a storm.
They never ceases to surprise and inspire me with their range of products. Some good prices and great sales.
Love this place and their staff.

Cooking supply emporiums make me all relaxed and gooey. There are so many shiny items that inspire me in the most creative way. The Chef and the Cook in Camperdown is one of the most stimulating.

Then there are the cookbooks to help you along the way to becoming a Master Chef of any culture. They have such an array of cuisines you could fool your dinner guests into thinking you have lived in Turkey or the Middle East, for years. If you have a sweet tooth, there are some stella books to excite you.
The advent of the tv show Masterchef has hyped us all in to believing we have talent in this area and there are many items here to let you carry on this fantasy. Knives that range from about $ 60-​$ 600 for a set.
