QUT Bookshop Cafe

Best coffee on campus. You can be waiting a bit when they’re busy, but the staff have always been lovely and it’s a quiet and cool little area for a quick break.

The bookshop café is generally open 8 – 4 and serves Campos Coffee. A few of the baristas are quite good and make the nicest cup of coffee on campus (and there are at least five other competing coffee places). Unfortunately the good baristas aren’t always on so the coffee quality can be a bit hit and miss.
Small cakes, biscuits, muffins and the occasional light meal are on offer, including some gluten free options (carrot cake, etc.) and these are quite good.
Staffing is usually quite light on so you can expect to pick up your coffees from the counter even if you’re sitting down with your dine-​in coffee (long table with stools or semi-​booth with low tables). This isn’t such a problem though as the café area isn’t huge.
Also it’s air conditioned and part of the QUT bookstore so there’s lots of neat little things to browse while you’re waiting for your coffee.
