I did it! I made it to CREAM! Oh yes I did. This café has been causing a stir down on the Westsiiiiddeeee, in the best way. It has been on the radar of all the foodies around Adelaide and now I know why. This place is exactly what Brighton needs. Too long has it had traditional style cafes and eateries. It’s time to do something fresh, fun and something for the younger people in the area. First up, be on the look out for the white door hidden off Jetty Road. You can easily walk past. I took a picture and uploaded on the listing to help. When you do find the café, you will walk down a strip hallway and into the main part of the café. If you like hip hop and 90s classics, you will dig the tunes as well. I heard the likes of Vanilla Ice and Wu Tang. Love it! There is a long bench table along the entry that is more suitable for couples or three people. Then a communal table in the back with a room on the side. I would say that it would be challenging to get a group of more than four in at one time due to how busy it is. As I am told they sometimes have a line up. But, I am also told that they take your name and number to let you know when a table is ready. In fact, the owner said that they offer you free coffee while you wait! SAAAYYYYWWWHHHHAAAA!!! Yup! True story. As for the food, all breakfast brunchy goodness with a slight American influence. Fried chicken, donut burgers and waffles. Can I get a hell yeah? You will also find smooshy avo on toast, salads and smoothie bowls. But, my dining experience was around lunch. So I was in the mood for something a little more wholesome. I went for the poached eggs, asparagus on rye with smooshie avo and a side of southern fried chicken. I had to when I saw Brooke E’s photo. The rye was super fresh with a slight grain through it. The avocado was well seasoned and full of flavour and worked well with the asparagus. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. And finally, oh yehhh… the southern fried chicken! That was very very good. Tender, juicy chicken with really tasty crunchy batter. The Chipotle sauce served with is was spicy and very tasty. This is a very good dish and I would recommend it. As for the coffee, a smooth nutty blend and served at the right temperature. No wonder I keep seeing coffee pics in Instagram. Great coffee. They have mug size too. Schwing! Overall, I will travel to get back here to try a lot of other menu items. Easy 5 stars.

Tried and tested, cream is a place I keep coming back to! In recent years there’s been a trend of hipstery cafes popping up everywhere. They have that distinct look with minimal wooden tables and quirky chairs and serve tea in unusual containers. Cream is all this but unlike other places it has the food to deliver. Their menu consists of smoothie bowls, American inspired pancakes, salads, sandwiches and many(insert here) on toast. I can vouch that all the food here is great(I’m personal fan of the smoothie bowl tho) excepting the pancakes, they are thick so if that’s your thing great otherwise avoid them. Their coffee is awesome but be prepared to wait a little while for your food(cream can be busy). All in all this coastal café is the perfect place for brunch after a night out(or in).

From the outside, if you aren’t paying attention, you can miss the entrance to C.R.E.A.M. It is tucked away between shops and other eateries on Jetty road in Brighton. Those who pay attention deserve what goodness awaits inside! The café can hold about 40 people so it can’t cater to the masses, just those who are serious coffee lovers and café enthusiasts, giving a feeling that you are in an exclusive venue. The vibe at C.R.E.A.M. is relaxed, fresh and cool. The familiar beats, cosy atmosphere, delicious coffee and food plus, most importantly, the genuinely, friendly staff make this place one of a kind! The C.R.E.A.M. Team are forward thinking in many ways, some noticeably small ways that to me made a difference like no petty rules such as, no split bills or a minimal eftpos charge. They GET it, why make it hard for people to spend their money!(Please keep up the unique approach most other businesses are too scared to try) I’ve eaten there over a dozen times now and have been meaning to put up a review because this is one of those rare businesses that thinks and acts outside the box! Just even this week C.R.E.A.M. have expanded their delicious breakfast & lunch menu to offer desserts over the weekend(Friday to Sunday). The menu and hours will be expanding further from what I’ve been told. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

CREAM surprises with the best latte I can remember(excellent flavor and very perfectly creamy) and a wonderful menu. Fried chicken was a delight and my fellow diners raved about the smoothie in a bowl and enjoyed the smashed avocado. Seating is a bit tight. Staff is jonny on the spot and very friendly.

About Time JettyRd! This café not only has an «On Trend» décor & music, it delivers good quality food and excellent coffee. In fact; damn fine coffee! It was, so good, I had two! Now the food: the Avocado & Danish Fetta smash with 2 eggs & asparagus is tasty and light if you aren’t that hungry. The Cubano sandwich looked OK, but apparently delivered great flavour and a spicy punch according to His Lordship. I tried the pulled meat and it was tender and delicious. The corn & potato fritters with lightly roasted vine ripened, plump juicy cherry tomatoes with an extra of avocado was tasty. Whilst I prefer my corn fritters to be more of a golden colour, these were a lot darker and slightly wet inside. The pancake stacks look amazing and I would suggest that this be a share plate. All of the staff are friendly, efficient and on the ball– even during busy times. Plates quickly cleared, tables wiped down and water appeared without fuss or bother. This has now become my favourite coffee shop on the Jetty Road precinct

Straight Outta Brighton. Brighton has been begging for a speciality coffee joint for a while now and I’m glad that one has finally arrived. It’s a very cosy venue; the busy Jetty Road outside does mean seats fill up quickly so best to bring one or two other mates only and get in early. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and made sure we got a seat as quickly as possible. Grear theme and décor; loved the hip hop playing in the background but depending how close you to the kitchen it can get pretty loud. Coffee was top quality, could have easily gone for another one. The food was good too, plenty of choices for breakfast, brunch and a few big-ass sandwiches but I did think it was a little bit too pricey($ 7 for toast and Vegemite.) I would have loved to have had a better look around but it was pretty busy at the time. Still a great spot, C.R.E.A.M have nailed their coffee and will definitely be coming here for my fix after a swim :)

What a wonderful way to start the day! We came here for brunch on a whim and were lucky enough to get seating straight away. Immediately, the staff were very friendly and had all the swag that you would expect from a café named after a Wu-Tang song! I came here because of the rave reviews and I wasn’t let down. the menu made it hard to choose just one item as it listed all the classic brunch options [with a twist to keep things exciting] as well as some unexpected items such as pancakes with fried chicken and the smoothie bowls that i would expect from a juice bar. I love that they asked what coffee I would like as soon as we were seated and brought it quite quickly. Bye, their coffee machine is the highest tech one I’ve seen! We were seated on a shared bench table with stools that lined the long hallway but we didn’t mind for a quick brunch, wouldn’t have wanted to be in a group and sitting in this way though. The food came and was a five out of five. Beautifully presented and the flavours were definitely all there. Pancake stack was a bit dry but the pancakes were massively fluffy, tasted amazing and some additional syrup helped sort out the dryness. Speaking of the pancake stack it was way too much for one person for breakfast so I recommend sharing! The French toast was just the right size and unbelievably good, not to mention it was garnished with flowers Now for the music… This is why it’s now my husbands favourite place! It’s practically his playlist! In conclusion, definitely go here but get there nice and early with only one other person(3 max to take your chances on getting a table for 4) and be prepared to wait for a table.

I’ll go with…4 stars but will return and may change this. CREAM is a very young, hip, now kind of place. Squeezed in down a corridor and behind another shop it’s fresh, clean, simple with some nice wall art and happy laid back staff. Not great for a group, best for 2. Not best on a hot day either as it struggles for cool air. A quirky menu with sufficient breakfast and sandwich choices that’s worth trying but we didn’t go past their display cabinet and were satisfied with muffins and tarts which were nice enough. As their namesake claims their coffee is excellent — for the coffee alone I’d give them 5 stars and return every day(I forgot to ask about their brand/roaster). Easily in my(current) top 5. Be prepared to spend extra money as there are some nice shops there as well. [

Unfortunately coffee doesn’t rule everything around me, but I couldn’t help but stop by as they have some great pumping beats. A guy working there stopped to pat my pooch whilst I was looking at the menu. Aaaw. I only had a hot chocolate but it was pretty good. They have an interesting looking menu that I must come back and try.

D.A.M.N! This place is good and exactly what staid old Brighton needs. The service is tip top — casual and friendly, make sure that you have everything you need and(a pet favourite of mine) checking if you want another coffee as you have your breakfast. The food was cracking. I had one of the traditional breakfast options(eggs and feta on avo) but sampled the fried chicken and hotcakes.- amazing! Breakfast and beats that should definitely be on your list.

The Donut Sandwich was amazing! And I’ll be coming back for the Stack of pancakes. Top shelf coffee added and overall a 5 star café.
