Bondi is not somewhere I visit frequent but man did it deliver this rainy Summer morning! Headed to Gusto for a quick bite after flying in from the Gold Coast and the place was packed to the rafters! Managed to perch on one of their high tables after ordering coffee and breakfast from the counter. I grabbed my usual Almond Milk Latte and the Poached Eggs with Soy Linseed Bread and Yoghurt Basil Pesto. The latte is the best I’ve had, anywhere EVER to date! It was creamy with no gross after taste and was the perfect temperature. My eggs were poached to perfection and the basil pesto yoghurt was nice and light and worked beautifully with the yolk and bread. Gusto is definitely worth the cramped space and the slightly longer wait time for food. Give this a try!

Like it’s sister café in Coogee, Gusto serves some great coffee blends, rich with a bitter but smooth after taste. The quick take away breakfasts, and eat in breakfasts like walk out the door in this hugely busy café. One of the most popular breakie delights, the poached eggs, served with homemade hollandaise, spinach, plus bacon or ham and tomatoes wrapped into an onion roll. Inside there are a couple of tables spread around, which aren’t conducive of a cool vibe, although the outdoor wooden stools that scatter Hall St are perfect to zone out mid-surf session with a refreshing juice, or strong coffee.
