Excellent food, the Thai curry dish is one of best things I have ever eaten. Very nice surroundings and excellent service. However a couple things kept it from five stars. 1. Extremely expensive(a understatement). 2. For that sort of cost paper napkins are completely out of place, as is the lack of a tablecloth. I would still go back in a heartbeat however.

Enjoy some seriously good food before a stroll through the famous Bendigo Art Gallery. ROR is a relatively recent addition to the Bendigo foodie scene. The dining room is inviting and the clientele this weekend were typically adult families catching up over some quality food and wine. Service was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. A few little kinks to be ironed out would be the colourful blackboard specials that seem out of sync with the rest of the style of the restaurant. Perhaps, a more restrained, less chaotic looking specials board would be better. The other kink would be the Melbourne-esque prices and the strangely cut sashimi. Aside from these minor quibbles we had a great time at ROR. My fish was beautiful and my dining companions throughly enjoyed their pasta and meat dishes. For dessert we opted for the tiered platter where you try almost everything(choose 12 out of the 15 desserts on offer). Be prepared for an overdose of dessert pleasure. In hindsight we should have chosen a dessert or two to share. Some restraint on our part this time would have been fitting! Instead, my tip would be to come here with some girl friends and order a glass of prosecco each and the dessert sampler to share. What a great value sweet high tea that would be. So whether you are here for a main a dessert or both, you should enjoy yourself. Then be sure to go for a long walk!
