The Elizabethan Village Pub

Fabulous casual atmosphere and family friendly. Recently went with my husband and shred the tasting plate, mushrooms were amazing! My local favourite!

I visited the Elizabethan one afternoon on a recent trip to Perth. The beer garden is sprawling and has a great view of the surrounding hills. You could be forgiven for thinking you were at a country escape somewhere in the UK countryside, except the weather is much better in Perth. A perfect place to relax and enjoy a pint or two.
The staff that served me were friendly, happy to have a joke and were efficient too. The Caesar Salad I ordered came out promptly and was a generous sized serve.
I have heard that the service can get busy during the evening, however the afternoon seemed was a perfect time to try the Elizabethan out and made for a relaxing afternoon. Be aware, last lunch orders were at 2.15pm (while the bar remains open).

Service at this joint is appalling. I will never come back ever. I’m pretty sure pasta isn’t served with a side of steel wool but that’s what was in it. You could put this down to a chance mistake, however after informing them of it they treated me as if I had stabbed their firstborn child and were so rude they wouldn’t even offer an apology. This is not the first time I have had bad service. I live in the area and have come here a number of times over the years and have always been disappointed so never again.

Used to come here all the time with my folks as a kid and had great memories of wonderful meals.
Lately however the food is less the average, sometimes arriving cold and uncooked, other times burnt to hell.
The pub has quite a good atmosphere but its ruined by staff who clearly don’t give a crap.
Good for a drink, terrible for a social or dining experience.

I agree with Tif, huge wait, unfriendly staff, very ordinary food and so dirty all the time.

It’s been some time since I visited the Elizabethan Village Pub as its just not my thing. Cluttered out of date interior, well below average food and dismal customer service have kept me away.
