Fantastic food and a homely atmosphere. * The LOT burger has a just-toasted-enough bun, Jarlsberg cheese and a great beef patty. Can’t recommend this enough. * Coffee is good, even if the glasses are a bit small. * Service is friendly and unobtrusive. Definitely on my list of places when I’m out this way.

If you’re in Bayswater, this is pretty much your only place downtown for breakfast and coffee. That Food Company serves the full range of barista coffees, teas and milkshakes. They have eggs on toast($ 9.50), three different types of egg benedicts ranging from $ 16.50 — $ 22.50. They also have burgers($ 15), BLTs($ 14) and an array of salads(caesar, salmon, calamari or prawn) The food is okay, but nothing special, but they do get props for having a decent selection and a really nice staff. The restaurant has an indoor area and a cute shaded outdoor patio area as well. In downtown Bayswater, beggars can’t be choosers.

Stars are won for service; the owner is very upbeat and friendly and makes it really difficult to report a negative review because he is really a nice chap, but unfortunately I have bad, bad, baaaddd coffee here. Burnt, weak, watery and bubbly; the barista couldn’t get anything right. A Nestle Coffee sachet would have been a lot more enjoyable. The food is nothing out of left-field; lunches like chicken salad, quiche, paninis as well as some counter cakes. The décor is as ordinary as the menu, if a little dated.
