I went here once and … when I ordered my large Long Black to take away, I queried the $ 5 price — as this seemed very high to me — considering I would normally only pay around $ 4 in the CBD for one. So when I commented that the «price seemed high», the barista shrugged her shoulders and said «…oh well, if you don’t like it, go somewhere else then». So I have taken her advice and I do. I will never ever go back here.

Just because the name of a café has the word ‘coffee’ doesn’t make it the expert on that product.
All About Coffee is ironically, not very accurate.
While the premise of the store is that the owners love coffee and are promoting their product through the beans and percolators of various sizes, unfortunately the store can’t compete with other nearby heavyweights Snow Pony or The Maling Room.
All About Coffee is successful in Balwyn because it’s a comfortable little café along a set of shops with limited venues for quality coffee.
The store is small and the service okay, not overly friendly and not very efficient when it gets busy. Small cakes and snacks are reasonably priced and actually manage to upstage the coffee.
All About Coffee is fine if you need a quick caffeine fix. But make sure you add some sugar to combat the bitterness, and consider walking further on down the strip and checking out the cafes there.
