Call me superficial but I tend to judge a restaurant by it’s website. Easy to navigate, mobile friendly and no pdf’s to download? Table for 4 please. No menus and comic sans? Pass! Luckily Dad doesn’t have such odd selection criteria, because Sophie’s website looks like it was done by a Year 8’s Computer Science project. Though knowing how tech savvy kids are these days, maybe more like a Year 3 kid… But I digress. Dinner here started well and ended well, though the in between was a bit meh. The trio of dips are deceptively ample, and the haloumi with macerated figs was just genius. The curly sweet potato crisps ontop of the vegetarian moussaka won me over, but the lamb shoulder was a bit dry and stringy. Loukoumades are only done on Friday and Saturday night, so of course I had to have them. And it’s times like this that I’m glad I have a bit of food FOMO because the loukoumades and Greek coffee was everything dessert should be — just enough sugar, fat and caffeine to get you buzzed and not so much that you feel sick. Sophie, you’re at least worthy of a drop down menu and some cool javascript.

YUMYUMYUM. went here with a group for my daughters birthday last week and was so happy. Owners were lovely and very accomodating making sure everyone had a fantastic night out. Everything was delicious. We ordered a lot of different items on the menu, everything was good and tasted fresh and authentically greek. My favourites were the trio of dips entrée, the beetroot deta and walnut salad with green beans and then the slow cooked greek lamb. We tried the mango brulee for dessert– a bit sweet for me, but the lady at the next table was raving about it. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back.
