THISISNOTBUDGETLIVING!!! All of the chairs out the front look trendy and inviting but they are all such poor quality! The owner himself told me not to buy the $ 200 white chairs advertised on the website because he said BOTH the white material and wood was poor quality. My poor friend got a cowhide chair and they used the worst part of material, it was yellow and dirty and looks terrible it cost $ 750 for a small standard(no arms chair). I went in to get my own chair reupholstered and chose a fabric in store & he told me I couldn’t have it because it was flown in & cost $ 300 per metre(& it was the scrap material that had come off an old chair so there was definitely not even 1 metre there) so if I wanted it — it would cost over $ 500(for a standard small chair), and when I went in at a later date he had put it on another old ugly chair and advertised for $ 100! He is definitely dodgy, unhelpful and definitely hasn’t heard of customer service! He has definitely tripled his prices in the last 2 years too! It seems to me like he got busy and greedy and has forgotten to maintain the quality, price and customer service of this business! I would put no stars on this review but it makes you put at least 1 star.

There are always chairs out the front which have been upholstered in beautiful fabric befitting the era and style of the chair. So many Edwardian styles and antiques have been done up to a high standard. I’ve decided I’m a black and white person — in more ways than one — as my eye is constantly drawn to these colours and there is a gorgeous armchair in here which I love. Take along that old padded chair the cat has ripped and torn to be re-upholstered as they can fix it like new again… and keep the cat out of the room! A great shop to have a browse and as Kamini mentioned, get some inspiration for your own home. Also a fantastic resource for interior decorators and for clients who have the budget t buy.

I absolutely adore plushed and upholstered chairs. More so if they carry a vintage look that was popular during Audrey Hepburn’s era. I was so pleased to find Budget Living and literally had to pause, to take in the beautiful sights of chairs and sofas, in every possible colour, fabric and shape. For those of you possess tattered or tired looking furnitures, please do your furnitures a big favour and bring them here. Budget Living does re-upholstering, design furnitures and best of all, they buy and sell second hand furnitures. I spotted a stunning wide stripes armchair that was going for $ 500, I gave the sales assistant a disapproval look. Way beyond my budget and I will probably bring this baby home, if he drops the price. If you’re looking for some inspiration and décor ideas for your next upholstery project, come here or feast your eyes on their stunning pieces on their website.
