I personally believe that businesses that don’t take #amex lose big time, as a tax adviser I can second that. I feel sorry for those businesses that spend $ 500k on fit outs who don’t take this firm of payment. Open kitchen, nice surrounding, parking poor, rally only a local gig.

Great lunch. Jerusalem hummus, Moroccan beef and Vegetarian Shakshuka with bacon were all delicious accompanied by fresh juices. Reasonably priced, too. Looking forward to eating the fig jam I picked up there.

Had brunch here a few weeks ago on a Saturday. I had the classic shakshuka, and M had the eggs on a pan(well done according to her preference). Food was tasty and served with pita, and M enjoyed her coffee. Friendly service. While the room was open to the street, it was quite warm further inside despite the fans, and the music was a bit loud.

Cheapest coffee in the area at $ 2.50, but that’s because it’s really bad coffee… they advertise it as their special house blend but it just tastes like burnt Starbucks. I also had banana bread here and it was stale… can’t say about the café food as I was put off by the coffee and simple banana bread to want to come back.

Enviorment: You walk in and believe to be in fancy little place with menù on ipads for every single customer. Everything is white and red and home styled. Food: I particularly liked the variety of meals for vegetarian and I got Eggplant Alla Diana. From the picture I though I was never going to be able to eat everything but when the dish came out it was a joke. Probably wasn’t even one third of what I was expecting. Quality was really average. I then got a brownie which tasted more like a chocolate cake. Staff: thumbs down

Saturday morning Brunch. As you enter you wait to be seated. Their menu is on an ipad, so i had to wrestle it away from my niece so i could see what they offered. We ordered 1 x banana bread and 3 x Shakshuka(Beef, Vegetarian and Eggplant & Fetta) Coffee was good, the chocolate milkshakes were also tasty. The beef was probably the best out of the 3 but it was just beef so a bit plain. My sister had the eggplant although there was hardly any in the skillet — she said it was more tomato based. I had the vegetarian and it was ok, i had to add salt a couple of times as it didnt seem to have much flavour. They have a little stall section on the side to which they have biscuits, frozen food items to take home and make for yourself. First time visit and thought it was ok, I should of stuck with my first idea and gone with the pancakes!

Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. We tend to come for breakfast and get the shakshukkah(not sure if I’m saying it correctly? — it’s basically oven baked eggs in a pan with tomato sauce, chorizo, beef or vegetarian options etc.) They also have an option of buffet style breakfast which is kind of cool, although we’ve yet to try it! Coffee is great, service is ok(I guess ultimately the only thing letting it down a touch) and the setting is very family friendly. We also came here with the little nephews and niece and the play area was great to have around, you can literally sit right beside them. The fresh baked breads and sweets are great too. I like how it feels open and outdoors, but because it spills into the warehouse you don’t have to deal with the weather. It’s a nice place, good value for money, good food and great freshly baked products.

I had passed by Grandma’s Little Bakery many times over the past years but I had never had the urge to go in, mainly because the shopfront looked rather plain and not particularly interesting(compared to the hipster cafes in the area). One day, however, as Mike and I drove past it again, I noticed something’s different — it might have been the funky dog statues, or the nicely decorated flower pots out at the front, or the customers sitting under the lovely sunny afternoon enjoying themselves — that made me really wanted to find out what this place is all about. I thought to myself, «If it is still open after all these years, they much be doing something right». I loved their Beef lasagna!

This place is nice atmosphere and good food, just too near a busy roadway. A little bustling but the baked goods are delicious! Would probably recommend more for takeaway

Have seen this place in passing quite a lot, but always passed it up in favour of The Grounds around the corner. Decided one day that it was due a visit. Went for lunch and ordered the chicken quinoa salad. It came out and looked absolutely beautiful. Pretty as a picture with its vibrant colours. Unfortunately the taste did not stack up. The tahini dressing was quite nice but the chicken was dry. It was so dry that it was rock hard — my knife struggled to cut through it. My friend ordered the moroccan beef casserole which was apparently ok(nothing fabulous, not bad either). The staff are very friendly but clearly require more training. The sparkling mineral water we ordered didn’t arrive with our meal. I reminded the waitress who said it was coming. By the time we were ¾ through our meal, I cancelled the water. Received an apology from the waitress but that did not help my parched situation! I can understand forgetting the first time, but not a second. And the place wasn’t even busy. I would not return for terrible food and poor service.

Had really high expectations of this place for some reason. not sure why? I always drove pass Grandma’s but never went there. So had a client meeting and they bought me nibbles and coffee. I had a cappuccino(this is the first time I had one since 10 years ago?) and it was GREAT! The nibbles were pretty decent too especially this biscuit with different seeds. Anyway they all happen to be from Grandma’s and was like WOAH! So went there for brunch the following Sunday and although we got a seat pretty quickly and were given sample biscuits while waiting, I was quite disappointed. We had a spaghetti Bolognese with eggs, a cheese(cream)cake and a shakusha(however you spell it)? The food was too bland like as if they forgot the seasoning/salt? The cheesecake was pretty much a cream cake and we barely finished half. What was nice however are their little goodies in the shop :)

The place was really cool. had a late lunch there yesterday and had the beef shakshuka and salad. It was good and very healthy. I really want to try their breakfast buffet every weekend but went there late. Buffet starts 0830 – 1200 every weekend. Coffee was not bad. They also sell homemade cookies and bread. And menus are in tablets so i kinda think it was cool.

Food is nice and coffee is OK. The staff are good, but a were little distracted on the day. They have a place attached which sells bakery items which is OK as well. We tried a bag of cinnamon pastries which were pretty dry. Kind of like the stuff you would get in Marrickville from the little Greek bakeries, but not as nice and more expensive. We stopped in for breakfast and tried most of what was on the menu. They have some Israeli themed breakfast items which my partner said were nowhere in Israel when she was there, but that was a while ago. Tried the spinach and feta pastry which was OK — a little dry. Kind of like the Greek spanakopita. Great side salad though. We probably won’t go back, but we did appreciate the use of tablets as menus.
