A great place to stop by for a break and a bite to eat in the busy market surroundings. My great aunt and I stopped in for some lunch and an iced coffee at Zeds, located opposite the seating area and toilets in the market. We shared a slice of potato and bacon quiche which was topped with spinach and served on dandelion greens and a delicious potato salad with a mild sauce and chick peas. The flavours were really well matched and the bacon added a slightly salty and moorish flavour to the slice. Our iced coffees were served in mason jars and had the perfect amount of sweetness, ice and icecream. A really gorgeous meal! The only downside was the minimum seating(but that comes with any food stall in the market). We were able to find a seat easily just outside the stall and as their staff bring the food to the table there was no chance of us losing our spot. There are a couple of tables crammed into the stall as well. Overall a fair priced and delicious place to go for a good meal.

Great little café in the Adelaide Central Markets. Great food and very friendly service. Need I say more? Yeah ok. Poached bacon and eggs — eggs were cooked perfectly and bacon was crispy. Sourdough bread was fresh and tasty. Coffee was amazing and just what I needed on a Saturday morning. We were a table of 6, and one of our coffee orders was missing — could of been an honest mistake on either end, but the server immediately smiled and insisted that they would give us the extra coffee at no extra charge. It’s little things like this that make you smile — and keep you coming back for more. Note: Cash only. ATMs are close by though. Next time I’m in Adelaide I’ll definitely be stopping by Zedz for breakfast. Highly recommended!

Went to a Zedz last Saturday for breakfast. Coffee was good, the juice of the day was nice. I’d have both of these again if I visited again, but I won’t be hurrying back. We had the shared breakfast and although most of this was Ok to good, the bacon was dry, like it had sitting under a warmer/element for quite a while. Nearly took it back, but after a table near us rejected his food because it had been sitting around for at least 10 minutes beforehand and he asked for one to be freshly made and was refused, I didn’t feel like finding somewhere else to eat if I had of returned ours. Think I’m generous with the Stars, but the staff were efficient and friendly.

Arriving in Adelaide starving at 8.30 on a Saturday morning proved a slight challenge as NOTHING was open in town. Not to worry we found the central markets and a cute café called Zedz. Coffee was good and their home made gf bread was awesome. Also had their juice of the day. Really reasonable $ esp compared to Melbs! Service was really kind. Just FYI cash only — ATMS not far away.

Don’t know if they were just having a bad morning but everything from the moment we ordered was all wrong. The gentleman that served us was not friendly at all and then our order never turned up. Waited 20min until we asked for our drinks. Coffee and chai was cold once served and the chai had not dissolved and was full of bits that got stuck in your throat. Worst chai I’ve ever had. Only good thing today was the fresh muffin which we took with us when we ordered. Disappointing.

This really is my favourite cup of coffee in Adelaide. The food is lovely too and I love the atmosphere. On Friday nights its nice grabbing a coffee near the live music next door.

The coffee here is good and the service friendly. That’s all you need to know. end of review. Just kidding. But seriously the coffee here is delicious and the service is consistently good. I often come here at peak market mania on a Saturday morning. So the speed with which they make the coffees is impressive with this in mind. The juice here is really good, they make it fresh on the premises, and it’s not overly pricey. I haven’t tried the food here, but I hear good things from my friends who have. They provide water(with delicious mint/cucumber) and magazines to browse whilst you wait which is very considerate. So come here pull up a pew and they will bring the coffee to you!

This unassuming little café and tiny kitchen produces food that is hard to fault. Franjo(head chef and owner) believes eating is not just a necessity but something which can bring enjoyment and conversation to a meal. As a result he creates dishes and that make you stop and take the time to taste, not inhale, your meal because you want to work out what it is that is giving you that zest, zing or zealous mouth sensation. Franjo is often around to play guessing games with on all occassions when he makes mystery juices, adds a certain spice to a soup or a foreign ingredient to the humble citrus tart. The breakfast and lunch menu seems simple to the naked eye but it is one where carefully picked, seasonal ingredients from the Central Markets and home growing friends are blended with great spices to make it pack a punch. They can also adapt most meals to your gf, vego or lacto intolerant needs(if they haven’t already been made that way). My biggest tip? Don’t shy away from the unusual here, Zedz isn’t a place where you feel you have to put up with the ordinary just to eat healthy. Order a freshly squeezed juice of the day, a coffee and one of his infamous soups(Morroccan, Pumpkin and now Nettle) or activated bean burgers and you can justify a gluten free gooey hazelnut & chocolate brownie for dessert.

Zedz café is a lovely café inside the central markets and they do lunch and breakfast. I got a takeaway coffee which tasted great. Service here was amazing was asked my name when ordering my coffee. When it was ready they brought it out to me and genuinely wished me a lovely day. Best place for coffee in the markets.

When Bliss was closed, we chose this place as our preferred meeting place close to the market. While the vegan selection isn’t overwhelming, the cool market feel certainly makes up for it. Not forgetting the awesomely friendly chef who willingly came out to say hi, ask how we were enjoying our meals and generally shoot the breeze. As gar as a food goes, the vegan breakfast was delicious, the coffee is up there with some fo the best and the service is organic and friendly. We never felt rushed and could’ve quite easily sat there with another few coffees for a few hours.

I’ve been to Zedz for breakfast & lunch, but usually I just pop in for a juice. Why would I come to Zedz when there are countless juice places around the Adelaide? They make amazing juices that I can never remember the names of, but always remember just how good they taste. Droool… Oh… Sorry about that. Once I had a juice with tasty granita, another was strawberry, apple, and coconut milk. They have daily juices that are worth trying, because they’re usually far more interesting than your average boost juice. I’ve never had bad food from here, it’s just that the juices cloud my memory so I also don’t remember the details. Word on the street is that they also have an epic laksa sorbet(yes… you heard that right). I’m yet to try it, but the review I read makes me weak at the knees.

Zedz Café makes a fairly decent coffee, and the hot chocolate isn’t bad either. They offer a bunch of foccaccias and cut rolls, about five or six different salads, cakes and other desserts. They also serve an all day breakfast. The foccacias are pretty good, I’m quite fond of the turkey. The chickpea salad is probably my weapon of choice here, healthy and fresh.

Zedz Café is tucked away in the Central Markets, you can spot it a bright sign that lights up the stylish looking café. It offers breakfast, lunch, and snacks. On Fridays nights it’s open until late so you can even grab dinner. The service is friendly and with a smile. Zed’z is a bit cramped but this can also be conceived as a cosy and intimate eatery. Lunch is a busy time but you’ll enjoy your delicious baguette with any choice of fillings. The food has a fresh taste and an interesting breakfast menu that’s available at all hours. Want a big breakfast for lunch? You got it. All the fixtures including beautifully fried eggs, sausage, mushroom, and bacon. How can you go wrong with a meal like that at 3 in the afternoon?
