Been there twice for lunch. First time had one of the dishes on their lunch menu. Second time we were a table of 5. We wanted to get some plate to share. They had an option on their menu(which worked out to about $ 20 per person) which we chose. The dishes served were a great choice and enough food to staisfy everyone. They do consider dietary requirements such as gluten free. Highly recommended.

Amazing Asian fusion food. Great atmosphere. You can see right into he kitchen(which is a hive of activity). The food was excellent. Tried the calamari which was incredibly tender. Also tried one of their fish specials — great flavours. The teapot cocktails are very nice, and a great idea to share between 2 people.

Very good place. Very interesting food and really well done. We had a little of everything but the peanut rubbed slow cooked ribs were fantastic. The buns were amazing too. The waiting staff was super nice and helpful and overall a great experience.

Good wine list(house fizz is tasteful), loved the menu and wanted to try everything… Squid was great, DIY buns were great, trout was moist and flavoursome. I liked the vibe and the restaurant, and staff were attentive and polite. Only criticism is that the chairs are very low, and uncomfortable! But food and drink was great. The dragon bar next door is nice addition.

I have been lucky enough to come along to KangKong twice and I must say that on both occasions the food has really blown me away! The dishes that I was lucky enough to taste have stuck in my mind and left me wanting to go back and try more and more. A particular standout dish on my first visit was the Korean Fried Chicken — so crispy, light and not fatty at all, with fantastic flavours! I would also go out of my way for their satay chicken — some of the best I have ever had! Finishing my meal up with the ferrero rocher spring rolls was a proper treat — a must try for their unique and fun flavours! On my most recent visit I sampled some new additions to the menu and I am so ready to go back and have more! I fell head over heels in love with the poached salmon teamed with egg plant and fennel — it was buttery to perfection — and really, how can you go wrong with butter? I also wanted more and more of the paneer curry that was dished up! KangKong is a must visit — the staff and all involved are obviously passionate about the amazing dishes that they serve up, Chef Matt Miles has produced a range of dishes that truly impress and each and every one of these hits the table with absolute perfection!

Came here for a work lunch not realizing it was a little more uppity than I thought. Not a $ 10 lunch, more like a $ 25 — $ 30 one. So we just ordered small share plates instead of main meals, which we probably wouldnt have time to wait for. We had the mushroom noodle salad, crab cakes, chilli squid, and jasmin rice, which still ended up $ 25 a piece. The food was alright but not for the price, seemed a little expensive. The chairs were also umcomfortable and service was a bit slow, not being that busy. When I payed by card the eftpos machine wasnt working and they tried four times to get it going. She was waving it about to get a signal… quite funny. Not their fault. I would have liked a bit more of a classier looking venue for the food prices.

Eating Friday night before 9 is a problem in the west, head down here, it’s busy enough for atmosphere but nit too busy. They feed you quick and appreciate your business. Every thing was great from the snapper wings and sweet potato & tofu pasties to the twice cooked pork. This place is new, we’ll run and out to impress.

Fun, funky and lively. Happy to add another star once I’ve sampled this new Asian eatery treasure on another night. The menu samples on offer tonight were delicious and left me intrigued to discover more. Loved the décor and the ambience. The outside area is particularly funky with the backdrop of Topham Mall street art. I enjoyed a delicious Shiraz accompanied by chicken satay skewers, salmon with wasabi mousse, Nutella flavoured spring rolls, pork sausages, just to name a few. Very tasty and well presented. The opening night gave a wonderful taste of what is on offer in this new establishment. I’d definitely recommend checking it out!
