Was in Solingen for work and had to stop by the Zwilling store.
There was a nice section in the back of the store of discounted products that may have some small defects. The prices are potentially the same as US’s online discounters but with these, you know you are getting the real stuff made in Germany.
It’s a well lit and clean store that had a lot of products — including pots/​pans, kitchen accessories, and of course, knives.
Remember to ask for a tax refund receipt (to be used in airport) as their tax rate is pretty high.

My first pro-​sumer chef’s knife. Great balance and weight, and the forged handle/​tang is very comfortable to hold. Obviously a great well made blade which is the most important part. Obviously there are more expensive and better knives out there but at this level the more you’re spending, the performance gain is marginal. There is a point of diminishing returns. Excellent value for higher end cutlery.
