Käfer Delikatessen Markt

Hallo Eilmeldung! Wenn Ihr schon nicht einkaufen geht, aber unbedingt an den kleinen Bistro vorbei schauen gleich am Eingang. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, und voll leckere Bruschetta. Eigenkreation. Viele verschiedene, u.a. Es lohnt sich.

Ich liebe ja solche Delikatessenläden! Irgendwann mach ich auch mal noch sowas auf! Herrlich! Käfer ist generell natürlich preislich eher oberes Niveau, aber die Auswahl ist toll und man kann hier in Ruhe und (bei meinem letzten Besuch) ohne Hektik alles erkunden. Generell würde ich mir in den Käfer-​Läden wünschen, daß man etwas verkosten kann, denn man kauft schliesslich nicht gerne die Katze im Sack. Das machen andere, kleinere Läden, die nicht unbedingt Kette sind, deutlich besser und kundenfreundlicher!

I stumbled on this place on my birthday. Picked up some great stuff — included lovely macaroons. I returned a couple of days later with the husband. Couldn’t shop here for everything — too expensive, but really great food. I picked up a couple of sale Christmas ornaments as souvenirs.

Kafer is a chain of high end Deli /​Supermarket in Munich. They may even have locations outside of Munich that I may not be aware of. This particular one in Schwabing is a reasonable size place however, smaller than some of their shops in the city. For me it is about convenience and, this place had most of the things I would want to buy on a regular basis.
They have a wide selection of European ingredients mostly dominated by local, Austrian, Italian, French and Spanish products with a sprinkling of English and Asian products. They have prepared meals and soups, a cheese /​milk products cold room, snacks, cold meats, smoked fish and also a wine and spirit section plus much more.
Most of their stuff is expensive in comparison to a normal supermarket, however, the quality is great. I also discovered they have my absolute favourite butter Lescure from France (not all the varieties but enough — their rock salted butter is to die for:-))
I have been here a few times and always come back with loads of stuff to try. I really like this shop and I am sure you will too :-)
