K+K Hotel am Harras

We stayed here for a few nights. The location is great… there is a train station literally 70 feet away. If traveling is not what you want to do there are stores, restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. We even went to a Hookah Bar a few blocks away. The staff was nice. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very quiet. It does not seem like a hotel to bring children so keep that in mind.

I arrived at this hotel after a tiring journey from MUC airport. The woman working at the front desk was delighted to see me and (even though I learned a little German before arriving) I had a conversation with her in English. To my surprise they upgraded me to a better room. I originally booked the smallest cheapest room since I was traveling by myself. There was some renovation work going on (this was at the end of July 2013), so they felt I would be more comfortable with a room farther away from that renovation work going on. I absolutely loved this hotel and the surrounding area was great. U-​Bahn station and S-​Bahn station extremely close. Grocery store down the road was the best for breakfast and snacks and staying low budget. Also, if buying drinks from the grocery store, take advantage of bringing back the bottles considering you get 25 – 50 cents back. McDonalds was on the same street as the hotel, as well as this amazing gelato shop. Plenty to see and do in Munich!

Hotel was clean but meant for business travels and not kid friendly.
The doors are small so strollers were tough to navigate and the windows opened completely so a roaming toddle could easily climb on furniture open window and plummet.
Clean and efficient. Shower was alright but not luxurious. Breakfast was pricey at 18 euro a person, half price for kids, free for toddlers.
Staff was hit or miss. Morning was great evening was average. Sent us to a restaurant but did not check to see if it was booked. Seven blocks in the Munich cold was a disappointment. Next time we were going to a restaurant I asked the front desk to call and see if it had availability. They acted surprised like «it is not my job». Yes they are not a concierge but held a brother out.
I would not stay here again for vacation but a business trip is probably their thing.

Von außen macht dieses K+K Hotel nicht so viel her wie andere Häuser der gleichen Kette in Paris oder Barcelona, welche sich offensichtlich (so werben die Prospekte) in schönen Altbauten befinden. Hier handelt es sich eher um einen gelb angestrichenen Betonblock, mit Handy-​Antenne auf dem Dach. Das Viertel, in dem das Münchener K+K liegt, ist in Ordnung ein 4-​Sterne-​Hotel würde man an dieser Stelle trotzdem nicht erwarten. Die sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung (U– und S-​Bahn direkt vor der Tür bzw. 1 Min. zu Fuß) macht dies aber wett.
Der Service ist äußerst zuvorkommend, nett, unproblematisch: Die Rezeption bleibt 24 Std. geöffnet, Frühstück bekommt man auch ohne Voranmeldung (bis 11 Uhr, hier kann man schön brunchen!). Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, das Bett sehr gemütlich. An der Sauberkeit gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Wenn man ein Zimmer zum Innenhof bucht ist es sehr ruhig, von den morgendlichen Kirchenglocken mal abgesehen (es ist Bayern!). W-​Lan (auch für Smartphones geeignet) und Lan-​Kabel gibt’s auch, gratis.
Insgesamt wirklich zu empfehlen und gar nicht mal so teuer, wenn man ein Angebot erwischt.

Das Hotel ist sauber, allerdings schon etwas veraltet. Die U-​Bahnhaltestelle direkt vor der ist sehr vorteilhaft. Allerdings hatte ich nicht das Gefühl, dass das Personal sonderlich hilfsbereit ist. So wurden verschiedene Anfragen von unser Seite leider eher missfällig aufgenommen oder man hat sagt uns mehrfach, dass immer alles schwierig sei und man sich da nicht festlegen konnte. Sehr schade!

It’s a nice hotel. It’s got all the standard hotel stuff. But I just didn’t like the hotel room … it felt much much cheaper than the rest of the hotel. Everything else in this place feels much more high class, and then the room was just a disappointment. It wasn’t really large or comfortable, though it was fairly clean. Free wi-​fi and breakfast was good, though.
Also a very very seriously tiny garage under the hotel, for € 16/​night. It should be for compact cars only. Even though my rental car had parking sensors, getting out of this garage was a huge pain!

Bin das 2te mal hier, und wurde sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Nähe zur U uns S Bahn ist echt super. Die Zimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist auch ok.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig, nur eine Minute von der S/​U-​Bahn-​Haltestelle Am Harras entfernt, von dort aus kommt man schnell in alle Richtungen, etwa in 10 Minuten zum Marienplatz.
Das Personal ist extrem aufmerkam und zuvorkommend. Und flexibel, denn meine Buchung lag wohl nicht vor, aber zu keinem Zeitpunkt wurde (wie woanders gerne mal üblich) der Eindruck erweckt, das könne etwa meine Schuld gewesen sein. Stattdessen wurde unkompliziert disponiert, so dass ich ein schönes Zimmer zum Hof hin bekam. Die Zimmer sind wohl insgesamt nicht sehr groß, und nach vorne heraus für Menschen, die gerne mit offenem Fenster schlafen auch nicht leise. Aber so ist das in der Großstadt nunmal. Hervorragend finde ich die kostenlose Nutzung des Internetzugangs (LAN auf dem Zimmer) und mit zwei PCs bei der Rezeption, bei einem von ihnen kann man auch ausdrucken.
Das Frühstückbuffet ist für 11 Euro absolut in Ordung, es war wenig los, so dass der Service Gelegenheit hatte, mir einen Muffin am Platz anzubieten — der wirklich leicht und lecker war.
Vor allem aufgrund des Personals kann man sich hier wirklich wohlfühlen.

Das K+K liegt direkt an der Haltestelle Harras. Es ist sehr ruhig. Gefehlt hat mir in meinem Zimmer ein Schreibtisch. Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind sehr gut. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist sehr gut — unbedingt den Frischkäse probieren!
